As a restaurant owner many years ago I know that the first impression of a restaurant that you want to capture the guests is the hostess station. You want to have people dressed appropriately and be nice and welcoming. Well, they have the nice part covered but to see the hostesses wearing super short sport skirts and flimsy tank tops and not covered is not what I call appropriate. Once seated our server came over and was super kind and very knowledgeable about the food and wine etc. Looking around we saw other servers that were dressed like the hostesses in flimsy jeans, tank tops and filthy sneakers. All of us at our table were talking about the staff and the impression they give off. If they (or ownership) cared about their workplace they should dress appropriately. One of the issues we had with the previous restaurant in this space was the way the staff was dressed. I remember at one point mentioning this to the owner and she said she’d talk to the staff. Well, I guess they didn’t get the message. A restaurant (and patrons who come here) of this caliber deserve clean, appropriately dressed staff. What’s the saying, “dress the part”. Interestingly, we mentioned to friends that we went there and the first thing they asked was “we haven’t been there since it changed but please tell us the staff is better dressed”. Case closed! We don’t plan to be back despite wanting to support local businesses. Fingers crossed things change as we enjoyed the food and overall atmosphere...
Read moreCame here for a date night w/ the wife and our friends and we were absolutely blown away with our experience at The Salty Zebra!
Our server explained in fine detail to us how they source their bread, meats, cheeses and vegetables locally around Palm Beach County and you can certainly tell by the quality that everything is fresh and local driven. Very important for creating a great meal!
Their executive chef is one of the few people who has a license to create charcuterie from scratch. The quality of the Iberico Capicola and Pistachio Mortadella were out of this world.
The Tuna Tartare will surprise you with it's depth of flavor, the same can also be said for their Lamb Meatballs! The sauce that the meatballs are paired with is unlike anything else I've ever had before.
For an entree I tried their Tagliatelle Arcoleo which they also make their pasta from scratch, by hand daily. It's a vegetarian dish as they use cauliflower bolognese but that doesn't stop it from packing in a ton of flavor alongside some of the best pasta I've ever had.
My wife got their 10 oz Picanha steak and the cut is phenomenal! The sauce they serve it with, a Cognac & Bone Marrow Au Poivre blend is incredibly flavorful and truly completes the dish.
The Coconut Rice Pudding speaks for itself. Get it and you'll see exactly what I mean, packed with flavor.
Overall a 10/10, affordable experience. Can see myself becoming a regular...

I visited Salty Zebra this past weekend with my family and a close family friend — and wow, what a find! Being new to the area, I’ve been exploring local spots, and this one absolutely blew me away.
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was incredible. The design of the restaurant is stylish and welcoming, and every single employee we interacted with was genuinely friendly. A special shoutout to our amazing waiter, Megan, who gave us fantastic recommendations and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. She made us feel right at home.
Now let’s talk about the food — phenomenal. I’m still dreaming about the sour cream & onion dip with those perfectly crisp chips. The burger? Juicy and flavorful. The pasta? Unbelievable. Every dish was a hit, and the quality was top-notch.
I honestly can’t rave about this place enough. If you’re in the area and haven’t tried Salty Zebra yet, do yourself a favor and go. You...
