Hunan Wok — Restaurant in Tewksbury

The people who work here are totally unprofessional. My co worker ordered food from here and the driver took the food to the wrong place. When he called he stated where he was and told her he would not deliver the food to her( which was at Tewksbury State Hospital), she would have to meet him. We called the restaurant to let them know what the driver had said and they said they would call him. She called the restaurant almost 40 min later to check the status of the food(the food had already been paid for online) the driver had went back to the restaurant without notifying her. She then told them just to refund her money, and they started screaming at her, she asked to speak with a manager and whoever got on the phone was just as rude. They gave her a hard time about refunding the money but she did not have the food. After like 15 mins of going back and Forth with them, they said they refunded the money but she asked for a confirmation number and they refused to give her that. I've had it with this place. The owner is very rude and always in a terrible mood. I called up for delivery and ordered a dinner plate which came to 10.90 before taxes. I said that was it and the owner very rudely said "you hafta get 2 for delivery". I asked if there was a minimum, thinking I'd add on a soup if it helped. "$20 minimum" he replies. Mind you im holding the menu which says $10 minimum. I mentioned that to him and he said "menu wrong". I hung up. Never again. (I live in walking distance so it would not have been difficult.)

Edit: As of 07/01/23 this place has new ownership. I couldn't be happier. The people are friendly, and the food is fantastic. New owners are exactly what this place needed. Good riddance to the...

Food was cold and dry by the time we received our food. Order was placed online @5:04 and took an hour to get here after my food was ready. I called the establishment an and was told “It’s taking a little longer due to the rain, sorry about that.” It was drizzling and we’re only 13 minutes away.
