So I came in to order some food for me and kiddos, not really a regular so I'm already looking like a dear in headlights. Get to the counter, first impression of cashier; very unpleasant. Rude, coming off annoyed from jump. She ask was it for "here or to go?" I say to go and start ordering. Something small because her vibe already has me ready to turn around. Anyway, I order the kids 1/4 of meat $9.99 meal & the brisket plate w/toast $9.99. She ask do I want I a drink, I say no. Done, simple!! She rings up the next order without giving me my receipt so I wait in line and ask for a receipt. Step outside and look the receipt, she done rung up a #13 with an extra drink. Immediately irritated I go inside and explain this is not what I ordered. Another cashier comes over, ask what happen, explains and she starts off with a refund but changes to just charging me the difference. IG there making up the math as they go. As their doing this, Ms.Maam (original cashier) is leaning over the register glaring like she high or some. Listen I'm not a native of Texarkana or Texas, and if i order something please put what I ordered and not what you want. Will never go back. Instead of refunding it and doing the order again, you did what you wanted on the spot. The cooks were great but initial encounter was definitely weird. & PS. Had the refund would've been done you would have seen that she charged me for an...

Authentic Texas BBQ here. I'm from the northwest where this kind of BBQ isn't anywhere to be found and especially not this good. We come here every time we're in town. So that's maybe once a year at best. My wife is from Texarkana.

Here with my wife and her British aunt. I had the #3 with sausage and brisket, Mac-n-cheese and coleslaw Wife had the #2 with brisket, okra and fries. The Aunt had the #2 with brisket, Mac-n-cheese and coleslaw. It's still just as good as I remember every year that we come down to visit. The crew is very courteous and hard working. It's clean in here always. I will point out though, that the dining room has very cold air blowing from the vents constantly. It's very cold in there. Our food got cold pretty fast. The crew , hard working that they are, probably like the AC blowing and cold. The customers, however, are not moving constantly like the crew is. Customers are sitting and trying to enjoy the experience. It's...
Read moreThe only thing that bothers me is when you walk in and scraps of meat are still there and you're not sure if it's been there all day before the flies.
Then sometimes you get that wad of fat that's just ooziest nasty in your BBQ, yeah that sucks, can ruin the meal entirely.
Another one but rare, are the complimentary beans, when you grab your bowl and take a scoop, it looks as though they stayed overnight because there was too many just to throw away.
Watch who does what, and how, with your food, and just to be picky, I rather not have someone that smokes or Vapes fix my food but maybe that's just me.
People love to see their food made, it brings forth the companies confidence and standard before the consumer. But just at Cold Stone, you don't want to say, "Hey! ...Out on some damn gloves, before you mess with my food!"
Instead you swallow it, banking your acid in your stomach will overcome the lack of...
