Hunan Gardens — Restaurant in Texas Charter Township

It use to be the number one place for me for pad tai in like 5 states but after what they did please don't go there because they basically told me that I can't go there anymore if I ask to have the order done the way I ask for it which is simple I get one thing every time just mild pad tai so every single time they kept getting that wrong except the first time which was awesome but after the first terrible nasty my pad tai with chicken the chicken is extremely watery and not cooked at all no more, and either it's wayyy to spicy that you can't taste it literally pepper flakes piled or nothing just weird and sweet and watery sometimes gamey and salty now, and now they started putting the pad tai sauce on the side which now its not pad tia and said if I complain again and don't take it how its made don't come back, I literally got my caretaker husband to film because its a public place it's insane I never ask too keep the old one and I drive 40 minutes one way and most of you know im extremely sick congestive heart failure ibs etc, especially if something is nasty I will puke so the food payed for which they are really expensive it goes to waste and I found a dark long hair and ive myself never met them husband goes inside so I don't have to get out the car or sometimes I stay home, It saddens me because I loved them at first and they used to be kind but now you either take the food how they make it their way or don't come back and the more you kindly say something the more weirder your food gets and I've been very kind I was their best customer I even got them many customers spreading the word but I can't anymore say they are good because I would be lying I wasted to much money there hoping id get that once great meal made by kind people but I guess that was a lie I have to tell everyone I told not to come because how badly I was mistreated and how they made me waste my funds for not only something they wanted to make but bit by bit something weird was in it so kind readers don't go here unless they make what we want that we are paying for and not any surprises if we speak up they were kind once.. god bless everyone stay safe be kind stay humble thank you for reading 😞🥲edit- Was hoping to see them get better and see them do things right but I was just in there again and I was told not to come back because of me basically saying what happened and get this I also heard them on the phone telling someone while I was there not to come back because they got their...

I ordered Singapore noodles as a takeout order. I had dined previously with a basic dish such as shrimp fried rice and had no issues as the dining experience was ok and so was the shrimp fried rice. However, my 2nd time around was a complete 360. I ordered Singapore noodles as a takeout the 2nd time around. The owner informed me that it was a good choice and was accompanied by a combination of chicken, shrimp, beef and pork. I ordered minus the pork. But when I returned home. I discovered that the restaurant had excluded shrimp as well. I phoned the restaurant immediately and informed the owner of the error and that I would be happy to return order if they could just correct it. When I got to the restaurant the owner searched the noodles from top to bottom and from left to right trying to find " A SHRIMP" that was never included in the first place. He continued searching for approximately 3 minutes as though it was not already an inconvenience that my order was made incorrectly in the first place, drove it home, and then drove back it to restaurant to return it. Only for him to ask if i wanted him to just throw some shrimp in it?!!! Meaning the cold noodles that had been driven back and forth because of his error!!!🤔The level of inconsideration, ignorance, and out right gluttony, and disrespect In this situation showed how invaluable this man see patrons. The West Main and Drake location is usually my go to when it comes to Chinese food, but we were in the area and wanted to try this location. We went on a Friday evening around 6pm. Right away we were greeted and sat. Our server was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The food, however, was a different story. We started with the fried prawns appetizer, and ordered lo mein and the assorted sizzling combination dinners.

The fried prawns came out in less than a minute. I’m all for fast service, but immediately I could tell these were pre fried and sitting under a heat lamp. Even after biting into one it was warm, but not straight-out-of-the-fryer hot. About 3-4 minutes later our food came out. According to the menu description, the sizzling combination dinner comes served on a sizzling platter. Our server had the food in another bowl, and poured it onto the hot platter. Ok, cool, I like the presentation. But when biting into it, the only parts of the dish that were actually hot were the spots touching the platter, everything else was lukewarm, and the fish tasted very fishy, which is usually a sign it wasn’t properly stored/sat out for too long. Our lo mein, too, was lukewarm and just tasted like it was pre made and just tossed in a wok for a couple seconds to reheat. Very clumpy and dry.

Our sever was understanding when we told him our thoughts, but nevertheless, we did not have a good meal here and will only go to the West Main location...
