I feel like I picked up food from somewhere totally different than what the other reviews say. We walked up to order our food. That was our first mistake. The order taker wasn't very friendly. It took thirty minutes, not exaggerating, for us to get our order with 3 people in front of us. Someone walked away after waiting too long for someone to take his order. It was chilly outside, they could've told us it was going to take awhile so we could sit in our car and wait. This was our first time here and it was dark, we didn't know there was a drive thru. They were moving the drive thru way faster. We opened our food (one sandwich, a side of sausage, and two cobblers) and the brisket smelled funny. Barely any on the sandwich. The sausage was dry. The BBQ sauce spilled in the bag because the lid wasn't on all the way. The peach cobbler was ok, the apple (see pic) wasn't done or something. It went in the trash. Order taker would hand you your food, shut the window real fast and walk away. We won't be back. It's very unfortunate because we are moving a few minutes away and we were really hoping it would be good. I also understand they are short staffed but the quality of food and friendliness of staff is my biggest complaint over length of time it took to...
Read moreFirst and foremost, the food is great, which is the only reason it’s getting more than one star. That being said, it is the ONLY a reason I keep waiting through the disaster of each and every experience (speaking specifically about the drive thru experience).
I don’t care if there’s one car in front of you or ten, expect to wait at LEAST 20 minutes. Today I waited an hour. It was also BBQ Potato special day, the only reason I showed up and waited to get to the window. I get to the window and am told they’re behind on potatoes and will take 15-20 minutes to catch up. Having already waited 40 minutes to get to the window I decided to change my order to expedite the process. Welp. Should’ve just waited for the potato because apparently slapping the chopped beef on a bun took more time than it would’ve to bust out a potato.
To sum it up, completely unorganized, there must be absolutely ZERO prep done because busy or slow they’re never...
Read moreI've been here in Magnolia for 30 years, and Bar-B-Que hut was basically a tradition when I got here. There's a reason for that. The food is good, the prices are reasonable & everyone around these parts knows it. But there's one more thing .. customer service. Everyone makes a mistake sometimes. It's normal. I made an order to take home, and when I got there & opened my pkg, it wasn't wasn't right. Something had been left out. I called. Not only did they actually remember my order, but took my name & promised me a replacement, not of the item missing, but the entire meal, and apologized profusely. I wasn't even upset when I called. I just had hoped for maybe a discount next time or a free drink or something. THAT'S customer service, and in this day & age, it seems to becoming rare. Oh...and they have simply the best sauce of anyplace I've ever been. I sometimes buy a cup of it just to have it in the house for...
