Had a great experience thanks to Sheldon, he is one of their employees. I walked in with my daughter we were in need of wood stain for our project. He heard us talking to each other about the stains. An he walked over & asked if he could help us after over hearing us talking. These bigger hardware stores you will not find service from employees like Sheldon did for us. At these bigger hardware stores you have to go & search for someone to help you if you need help. Not here at Magnolia hardware, Sheldon Took the initiative and came over & asked if we needed help. Then he was very knowledgeable & helped me narrow down my selection on what I was looking for just by listening to me and what I was wanting. You will not find that either at other stores. Seems like everywhere else employees just run & hide from customers & refuse to help customers. But not here at Magnolia hardware Sheldon showed that he cared & wanted to help. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought a package which was supposed to have 5 parts in it and there were only 4, when I return to the store fast and if I could have a replacement of the missing piece, valued at about a $1.50 I was told no, there was nothing they could do, and I'm not sure if they think I was trying to commit retail fraud for a $1.50 or if they are just pawning off the $1.50 in shoplifting losses they had on to a customer but either way I'm really confused and dissatisfied with that type of treatment. Iām not a regular of magnolia hardware and itās because every time but one out of my handful of visits since moving to magnolia in 2015 has been so disappointing. The women working the register are never friendly. They barely say a word to you or look at you. I like to take my business to smaller local businesses but due to customer service I just canāt bring myself to come here unless Iām desperate. Customer service training would do some good here. Being friendly with ALL customers choosing to spend their money here would be a good idea. A simple hi, smile and thank you go...
