2 update! So they took down their responses because I called them out for trying to save face after their original comment on this review, I added the screen shots Update: I spoke with Montgomery County health inspector it is not a health code violation for them to pour my coffee from a paper cup into my Tumbler. She described as a customer service issue as there is no legal health code reason that my cup of coffee could not have been poured into my Tumbler.
So it is a customer service and discrimination issue.
Since they have moved, to a full retail location with dine-in options they have no handicap accessible parking (Federal law).
As well as they refused today to put my coffee in my clean tumbler by pouring it into my Tumbler at the table and I'm disabled. The owner told the young ladies that they were not allowed to do it that it was a health code violation. How is it a health code violation to pour my coffee from a disposable paper cup into my Tumbler at my request?? (It's not per Montgomery County health inspector)
Starbucks makes your coffee in your clean reusable Tumbler.
My hands are shaking and tingling so bad today, that I can't drink out of a paper cup safely. With the tingling in my fingertips and the shaking and if I grab a paper cup too tight it spills everywhere making it unsafe for me to drink in the paper cup on a bad flare day.
Safe to say that the gift card I got for Mother's Day I will be giving away so that I can drive the extra miles to a coffee shop that will be willing to help me when I have a flare, so that I can drink my $8 coffee.
Also the Tumbler that was brought in and they were asked to pour the drink into was clean when it was handed to the barista, who asked for it, and it was given back to me at the table with coffee tinted water and coffee grounds so I couldn't even pour my drinking to it myself if I was able.
I would also like to note..... approximately 2 weeks before this interaction, I had a conversation with staff in the Drive-Thru. Where they offered to make my coffee in my cup and I explained to them that they could not make it in my cup but they could absolutely pour it in after they made it in a paper cup, I would appreciate it.
There were three staff members that came to the window that day to chat. And they all heard me tell them that they could not make it in my cup and that I did not want them to make it in my cup.
All coffee shops that I've ever visited in Houston or anywhere in Texas they've always made it in the paper cup and then pour it in my tumbler if I ask or if they make it in my cup they wash their frothing pitcher and spoon after they make my coffee and wipe down their counters afterwards ... Takes an extra 3 minutes, if that. All viable ways to still be accommodating and follow...
Read moreThis is a hidden little coffee shop in Magnolia as you're heading west on FM 1488 it's on the left hand side just past Rancho Grande, next to a florist shop. There is a drive through you must go between the florist shop and the coffee shop. There is no menu board to see what you might want, you have to go to the drive through window to see the options they have available.
When you get to the window, a smiling face is waiting to take your order and show their offerings. They do give you suggestions if you have trouble choosing. There are no prices so you'll have to ask. I ordered the Fighting Bulldog and asked to get it blended, it was very tasty. I also requested the cinnamon cheese muffin that everyone has said is super tasty and they warm the muffin up by the way "SO GOOD!"
This is a great little coffee shop you can go inside and sit down if you'd like. There is limited parking up front, people have been known to park in the past. I wish they had a menu board to look at along with knowing what is the price before buying, I had no idea what I was paying for my drink until I found my email with the receipt. You can find them on Google Maps but not much anywhere else. If you've ever paid via Square that's how you'll get...
Read moreStopped by today to see HGCC's new brick & mortar. They had a great coffee trailer off of 1774 before. This new building has an unfinished vibe on the inside but also has SO much potential for hosting fun events -- like painting classes or contra dances or worship nights, etc. Their location will be amazing once development builds up in that area but go ahead and go find them for a delicious cup of coffee now! They deserve to be in business. Their baristas are very kind and friendly and the two drinks we purchased (a feisty bulldog mocha -- quite sweet -- and a toffee crunch -- less sweet but still great flavor) were PERFECT for this hot July day!! They are directly next to Magnolia Flower Patch (hard to miss if you're driving west) and across the road from Magnolia Hardware Store. Someday, they'll need to improve their parking area but they're still new to this location. I can't wait to see them grow and improve...
