I have very mixed emotions about this place. It was very busy, there wasn't a seat at the bar, so I sat at a 4 top table even though I was alone. The bartender greeted me very quickly upon my arrival. Very nice, and my order all came out correct. The old fashioned was one of the best old fashioneds I've ever had in my entire life. I ordered a item from the "secret menu" pamphlet, and they didn't have the stuff to make it. I told the bartender I was hungry and asked if there was anything I had to have, she suggested the wagyu gyro, and that was absolutely a 5/5. To replace the item from the secret menu I ordered the brisket tacos however they were insanely greasy, like running all over the tray with clear grease greasy. So greasy the toasted tortillas were soggy and I was dripping grease while I ate. I tried to hide it with some lettuce and pickles to freshen it up but I couldn't even finish them because they were so greasy. They also have like 4 or 5 desserts on the menu and they actually only sell one dessert and it's store bought bake cookies. Service was above average, but was missing attention, she did good on suggestions and making the drink but I was out of a drink for a 5 minutes ish each time and sat there for noticably long after I finished my second drink and food and stacked everything nicely. She was busy, but if I'm a solo spending $40-$60 and asking about dessert a little more attention and making sure I'm not dry would be nice. She was very friendly and a very talented bartender, and was very busy, so it would be a 5/5 if the restaurant supported her. 1 bartender and 1 cook with a full house, may make the staff more money, but a second bartender would've let her keep the guest from running dry that's basically rule 1 of bartending.
All in all...
Read moreWe went here a few weeks ago for dinner. We were very disappointed the drinks were good however we ordered a the Charcuterie board as an app. items on it still had stickers (apples) which really makes you wonder how well cleaned it is. More importantly and the reason for my one star review is our son ordered waffles and chicken thank God he didn’t want the chicken and just ate the waffles. We took the leftover chicken strips home for our daughter but when we were cutting it up in pieces for her the chicken was completely raw inside! Not just one tender but all of them! Thank gosh none of our children ate this and got sick and we are the ones who found it.
After the incident we reached out on multiple occasions to talk about it with a manger (always try to help businesses when things like this happen by talking to a manager directly) but after multiple attempts and no call backs am sharing our experience here. Given this experience in the pure lack of customer service I’d have a hard time recommending. Businesses have been shut down for things like this.. it’s a huge health and safety violation. I don’t see how I can add pics but I have them and was going to share with manager but still waiting on returned calls...
Read moreI'm just gonna say that this place is a hidden gem. Great selection for a place that's only been open for a short time, food was good as well, but what do I know, I was there for the scotch and whiskey lol.
My wife ordered the Mai Thai and the French 75 and both were done right.
I ordered a single of monkey shoulder (neat) and Lagavulin 16. Both were the right amount and against my better judgement, I ordered an old fashioned. No one makes a proper old fashioned, but Josh actually got it right.
We ordered the chicken sliders and wagyu beef sliders and split them between us. Excellent and the burgers were not well done. A good "medium" for the quality beef they use. Can't wait for next week haha
We will likely be regulars here. I hope they get even more volume and stay opened. Love this...
