Flava Wings — Restaurant in Texas

I found out about this establishment through Instagram. The wings were supposed to be amazing, and everyone I know raves about Flava Wings. I placed an online order on Saturday 02/08/2025 for pickup at 4 pm for Sunday 02/09/2025, a whole day beforehand. They were paid already, and all I needed to do was pick up my order at the arrival time. The restaurant closed at 4 pm, so I gave them a call 30 minutes beforehand to let them know I would be arriving past closing time, which they assured me was fine. I arrive at 4:05pm only to find out that the order was not done but not even prepared. 10 minutes quickly became 30 minutes for estimated wait time. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to spare or the courtesy to give them since I was really looking forward to trying them. The restaurant was severely understaffed for a lack of preparation and a whole lot of unprofessionalism to follow right after. Because of this experience, I asked for a full refund. I drove all the way to the southwest area, paid tollways, that there was already more than a 30-minute commute for me given that I stay by the northwest side of town and then only to then find out upon arrival that I won't be receiving the order that I paid for since yesterday. The staff really needs to keep it together because there should be no reason for them to be falling behind on orders. Especially on one of the busiest days of the year, the Super Bowl season. Just left the restaurant, CHEF"S KISS!! First, the eye-catching wall mural is beautiful and thought provoking. KNOW YOUR HISTORY, KNOW YOUR CULTURE, KNOW YOURSELF. As I waited for my order, I tried to figure out the significance of each item in the painting. I came close to figuring out most of them and consulted Google when I got bogged down. As I waited for my cooked on the spot right then and there food, I was entertained by Sirius XM Jazz and BET comedy Channel on the wall mounted TVs. I could smell the hunger inspiring aroma waffling from the kitchen for the 20 minutes I waited for my order to be prepared. Trust me it was worth the wait. The Bangin' Bourbon Black Pepper flavored wings and the Uncle Hickory barbecue wings were, and there's no other way to describe it, superb, CHEF'S KISS AGAIN!!!. The French fries, golden brown and seasoned just right, were delicious. I pass this place daily because it’s not far from my home. I decide to stop in today for the first time and order a 6 piece wing. The girl at the front counter was very nice and professional. She said it would be a 20 min wait. It didn’t take 20 but I get my wings and get home, get comfortable only to open the container to 4 wings.. LIKE HOW?? So apparently the guy in the kitchen can’t count.. I called and spoke back with the girl and she advised I’ll be taken care of when I return.. Soo irritating because like 4 wings?? Dude, get your math together.. Wings are good though.

Update today 10/11 I called to see if they could start my 6 piece wings that I was promised the day my order was messed up and the girl that answered was sooo rude. Told me that she can’t help me because I should’ve had the text they sent me saved when my order was ready. The previous girl never texted me because she waved to me to come get my order! I am so upset. First time visiting and I will never return. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE WAY...
