We came out to eat and enjoy the live band. DJ started playing and raising the volume with every song. It got to the point where we couldnt carry a conversation with each other because it was that loud. My husband asked the Manager to have the DJ lower the volume and he told my husband that he couldn't accommodate his request since the band was going to be even louder. The manager stated other people wanted the music loud but no one was dancing. I don't know how he can say that. An assumption on his part .The place was full and there was a large party going on. The band wasn't the issue since they had not started and we have heard this band play before. The manager offered my husband another table so the music wouldnt be so loud. At the level the music was playing there wasnt a table inside or out where you couldnt hear the loud music. The DJ has been the problem every time we come to listen to the bands. We have asked the DJ to lower the volume before and he doesn't. Our friends have stopped coming here because of this DJ. He plays the same music and shows the same videos every time we have gone. We asked for a specific song the first time we heard him play and he didnt even understand the request and stated he couldnt play it. The Manager finally agreed to speak with the DJ after my husband told him he would be bringing this up with the owner that we had previously met. Once the band started playing the Manager, DJ, and a Security Guard were apparently talking about the loud music and kept staring at my husband. This manager appeared young, immature, and unprofessional to be carrying on in that manner in front of paying customers. We have always had good service and have enjoyed the food. We didn't feel we had a good experience this time and see how things are changing not for the good. Our waitress couldn't tell us the price of certain bottles of beers. We were charged 18% gratuity for myself and my husband because we sat down in a table for 6 since the place was full when we got there. Some of the other individuals that sat at the table came after us and were probably charged like that too. We always tip, but the waitress took it upon herself to charge whatever percentage amount she wanted. She stated that she gets paid through large groups. Two people are a large group?? I thought a tip was a gift or a sum of money for a service performed. She should take into consideration what type of service she is providing and why others may not be tipping her. I’ve changed my rating from three stars to five stars due to the fact that the owner Carlos genuinely listens to his customers suggestions, concerns, & ensures that changes are made to improve customer satisfaction. Since our last experience, the service has tremendously improved. The waitresses work together as a team to ensure the food items get out to the table quickly & completely. Daphne was our waitress. She is one of the best as she is polite, cordial & made sure our dining experience was wonderful. The drinks were also delicious. We did not have to teach the bartenders how to make some drinks this time around.. Ozzie is a great manager. He welcomed us & also checked in on us periodically, to see if we needed anything. The wonderful employees exemplify the high quality of customer satisfaction the owner, Carlos, wants towards his customers. Carlos, the owner, also came to our table, introduced himself & asked us if we had any concerns, to please let him know. We felt extremely welcomed & appreciated. The only suggestions are to have the bands play at a lower volume so the customers can converse better. Also have the DJ play on certain nights as he is great at mixing music especially 70s & 80s genres. All in all, this is truly one of the top places to eat at in the El Paso/Canutillo TX area. They offer great customer service, great gourmet style meals, reasonable prices, great drinks, great bands (Double Trouble) is one of the best, great ambiance, and truly a beautiful place to dine in. Read moreHad been waiting for this restaurant to open for a while. Live locally in the area and was very anxious for a place that looked to be fun and a great place to eat, drink and relax. Was very disappointed when we attended the establishment. Our tabs were incorrect multiple times when we asked for the total so we can pay. Then, even when the tab wasn’t incorrect, our party paid and finished the last of our drinks. About 30 minutes later the waitress handed a tab to our party that they needed us to pay or we couldn’t leave. And then they accused a couple that left our party walking out on their tab. We tried to explain to the waitress and the manager that no one walked out on the bill and that everyone paid. They even showed receipts but they didn’t care and expected the tab to be paid. Even after they asked for them to please look up the paid receipts for our table to show them everyone paid. They were not having it . Very bad customer service and was very embarrassing. Was brought up again the following day and no response from the manager or the restaurant. Will never go again and will not recommend this place to no one. Wish this would have been handled differently but seeing how they treated customers and more importantly paying local customers, this was very sad.
