Three of us went for lunch after one of our group saw a picture of the fish on Facebook. All planned on getting cat fish platters. Asked the young man who waited on us how the fish came and he said it was one big filet so we asked if they would cut it in a few pieces, then bread and fry it. Apparently this is something he has already been asked because he immediately said they could not do that. Didn't go to ask the cook or anything, just No. So two of us ordered something else ( if I had been in my own car I would have left and went somewhere more accommodating) and the one that got the fish wasn't impressed. This bothered me the whole time so I asked the young man if the fish came pre breaded. That is the ONLY reason I can imagine that they couldn't cut it. But he said no, so I'm left knowing that the cook is too lazy to grab a cutting board and cut a piece of fish. Pathetic. We won't be back. Oh , my friends grilled chicken was to tough to eat so she took it home to her dog. Three customers...

Thursday 7/21/22..i would give Frank's a ZERO rating if I could... We had two dinner menu items, hamburger steak and catfish... The steak was the only decent item.. the baked potato was old, brown, hard and only warm, the fries were very very greasy and limp, the paper was covered in dirty grease under the fries and the catfish... The catfish was salty, had no taste other than the salt and dripping of the same dirty grease... The Green beans had no flavor. The dinner salads had a soap type taste, maybe from the bowl, the water had the same soapy taste.... Hush puppies were very bland. Probably the worst meal we have had in a long time... The waitress was great and the restaurant was fairly clean. Was not busy... I have no idea how Frank's scored such high reviews.. We went there because of the reviews as we like to try new places... Definitely would NOT recommend this...

Stopped here coming bk from the lake for lunch. First, the waitret, the red headed lady, just perfect. Got my drink pronto and when the food came up, she was there to deliver pronto and came bk to check on me. First class

The food is good diner chow. I had the Big Country that came with a nice side salad. Entree was chicken fried steak on top of Texas Toast, topped with what seemed to be a cheesy cream gravy with hand cut fries, grilled purple onions, and diced bacon. The steak was a real cut of meat with only 2 chewy bites. Great for CFS. The toppings, oddly enuf, all worked together.

Burgers at adjacent tables looked good as well as the pie (I was wayyyyy too full to try the pie but next time....it's gonna happen.

A clean restaurant, in and out, 30 minutes max, great service with a smile(!), and better than average diner chow. What more could...

Driving down the road, there is nothing around, then all of a sudden we see this plain building with a sign on top that says "Franks". Well, we just knew we needed to stop!! When you walk in, it's very open with tables scattered about. A simple, but fun menu and prices are comparable to other diners. Our waiter, Preston, was in shorts, a t- shirt, and a backwards ball cap, and by far a better waiter than some of the high dollar restaurants!! Now the FOOD!! OMG, the best burger I've ever had (aside from my own, of course!). I got the Swiss shroom burger and it was so juicy and yet cooked thoroughly!! The fries were hand cut and cooked just right. Mikey was the cook and definitely deserves recognition for his amazing skills. On a side note, the bathrooms are small, but very clean. We will be back! I want to try the chicken fried chicken next!

I know this has been posted a lot but.. FRANK'S IN POTTSBORO IS SO GOOD. Fried Pickles were amazing, nice thick cut pickles hot from the fryer. Burgers were delicious and juicy and their bacon is thick cut and crispy too. My dad, a longtime fried fish enthusiast, says their fish is comparable to, if not better than, Hucks! Though Hucks has better sides, he says 😁 Also we went on Sunday around 11, service was a little slow (they said they were switching from breakfast to lunch) and they were already out of a few things (including the Daily Special of Chicken Fried Steak, also all of their diet drinks) But I guess word got around that this place is yummy and they weren't expecting all the business!
