Goodfella's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Texas

I've ordered delivery on several occasions from Goodfellas Wylie. Usually the pizza is fantastic. Not the case this time. I called to speak with a manager concerning my cold, dry, poorly made pizza and the same guy who answered the phone acted as if he put me on the phone with a manager but just changed his voice to a higher pitch and pretended to be in charge. I politely voiced my concern to this gentleman and he proceeded to tell me that he personally made the pizza and he knew for sure that there was nothing wrong with it. In his words, "I know it was a good pizza and it was delivered on time." I mean what do you say to something like that? So the cook apparently also manages the place and handles complaints as if his clientele are looking for some type of handout. He said I can get you a 50% discount on your next pizza. I did not call for a discount on a future order. I want the pizza I paid for today to be of good quality. I have no problem paying extra money for a gourmet pizza which is why I chose them over the mainstream pizza vendors in the first place. The food we picked up was delicious; however, I ordered three large pizzas (one pepperoni, one sausage, and one cheese) for my granddaughter's birthday party and received one sausage and two cheese -- the little girls were disappointed that there was no pepperoni.

I also am sure I ordered four pepperoni pinwheels and four spinach pinwheels, with ranch and marinara sauces, for the adults at the party, and only received two of each. When my daughter called your restaurant to complain, she was told I only ordered two of each, but I still have the paper that I wrote the order on, and I read it right off the paper to the person I spoke to on the phone. Apparently, I only paid for two of each -- I only paid attention to the total that I was asked to pay when I picked up the food.

UPDATE 3/9/25 - pizza has improved since my last review. Ordered take out a few times as I just knew this place is a gem when pizza is done right and I was right. To be fair I increased the stars in my review. ———————————— This pizza is getting worse and worse every order. It’s not always bad but the pizza I got today was awful. Our pizza was flavorless, didn’t see any visible sauce, hoping the toppings weren’t old, it was just off. We asked for it to be cut in squares, didn’t happen (about the third time now) and we Asked please bring pepper flakes upon delivery, didn’t get that either. Given how filthy the place is on the inside I don’t even want to think as to why my pizza tasted off.
