We are new to the area and we love Mexican food. I read the reviews and decided to try this place out. To say we were underwhelmed, is an understatement. I had chicken quesadillas, which were just okay. Not much flavor at all. My husband had beef taco dinner. The tacos were literally dripping in oil, which is very unappetizing. The charro beans were cooked with weiners!! I mean who does that? Is that a "thing" in this area? We are from Texas and have eaten Mexican all over this state and NEVER have I seen or tasted this before. Again, unappetizing...he didn't even eat the other two tacos or those beans. Queso literally had no flavor. The salsa was very thick and tasted too much like tomato paste. Needless to say, we have marked this place off, we won't be going back. Oh and for the service....not good either. Now the young lady was by herself and there were a couple more tables in there that were occupied. However, here's where the problem was, she took our drink order and then went to get the chips and salsa. It took a few minutes and I looked back to area where she was....she had the tray out and chips on it, but not drinks, she was standing there on her CELL PHONE trying to duck and hide the fact of what she was doing. I am sorry that is just unacceptable. Talk on your phone on your break and out of site is the customers!! She also did not keep the drinks refilled and we had to ask twice. Just not a good experience or...
Read moreTook the family to get our grub on. We all enjoyed it especially with their house made red salsa with chips and the owner, Jessie, brought us out some green salsa as well. This one had a little more spicy. He had recommended the Queso Falmeado (the flamed cheese) with Grilled chicken and that was what exactly the wife had ordered. Let me tell you what this dish did not disappoint. I ordered the Chile relleno plate filled with cheese, my favorite, and I had them add an extra one onto the plate with a side of charro beans. What a delicious meal. One poblano was Topped with queso sauce and the other with cheese sauce. I was ready to chow down. Lol These poblano peppers are hand selected by Jessie and as such are the biggest and best tasting Chile rellenos I've personally had here in East Texas. Took half of this home, except for those charro beans, I'm such a fan, and these beans are a winner. Our son enjoyed their steak fajita with veggies. A classic dish made just right and my son gave it 2 thunbs up and a big smile. Take a bite, take the family, and enjoy the good food. Glad I finally came to enjoy a plate of good...
Read moreIf you want your Tex-Mex favorites and are tired of your local or just passing through the area, I highly recommend Los Enchiladoâs! It is not fancy on the inside, but it is very clean. I had the lunch special in which you get your choice of two items with rice and beans. I got a beef quesadilla and a chicken enchilada with avocado sauce, rice and beans. Oh. My. Goodness. The quesadilla and enchilada tasted exactly as one would expect, at first. Then, the other flavors they manage to squeeze in come to life! The spice combinations are unique and delicious! I donât know if the corn or flour tortillas are made in-house, but they sure taste like it. Please give them a try. I highly doubt...
