Although this was our second time coming to this bakery IT WILL BE OUR LAST! Our experience this time was completely unsatisfactory and we will not be giving our hard earned money to Lucy love bakery again. On the day of pickup my husband picked up the cake, the manager did not give him a top for the cake. After my husband asked her multiple times for something that should have already been given to him the manager responded with “are you special needs or something, I don’t have a top for the box!” After speaking with her for a little longer she was finally able to find a top for the box. That was the first thing about this situation that her customer service was unsatisfactory. The second, when looking at pictures of the cake we noticed that the back of the cake was not finished. When I called to express my concern she already knew what she did wrong and explained to me she did not have the correct materials to fulfill our cake order so she decided to not finish the back of the cake but in turn expected us to fulfill our payment. After being hung up on. I called the next day to ask for a partial refund since my order was partially done. At first she offered $10 worth of pastries. I explained to her I wanted a partial refund and she refused. After talking to her and expressing to her I would prefer a partial refund, she became angry with me and was very rude because she did not feel like I deserved any money back she felt as though the cake still looked good even though she purposely did not fulfill her end of the agreement and gave us a cake that was not finished and was never going to say anything about it to us when we picked up the cake. The manager is extremely disrespectful, very rude, short tempered, and does not fulfill the agreement of your order but expects you to pay full price for half the work. WE WILL NOT be coming back to lucy love bakery because of our terrible, rude, and disrespectful experience we had and I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STAY...

Update: I did finally speak with David. He offered an apology and a partial refund and he asked that I update my review to reflect these changes. I appreciate the apology and a partial refund. As I initially stated, the cake tasted amazing but the appearance did not live up to expectations.

Initial Review: Kingdom bakery was a huge disappointment. They are getting 1 star because the two tiered cake tasted amazing, however, it looked nothing like the requested product. It was supposed to be white butter cream frosting with red, white and blue bunting on the sides. A very simple yet elegant cake. It was more cream colored with a messy maroon & navy blue banner on the side (with no white in between the colors). The cake was missing the boy scout "edible eagle sticker" and the ribbon that cascaded down from the top. We were told to pick it up at 6:00pm for a 7:00pm ceremony and upon arrival the cake was not ready and we were asked to wait. Didn't have time for that, so.... we were stuck. We contacted KB and spoke with the baker, she said the end product was what we asked for and told us to take it up with her husband, David. David has yet to return our calls. Ordered 2 cakes last year for my daughters 13th birthday and thought they would taste delicious and turn out just how I specified I wanted them made, but boy was I wrong. They came out horrible and I was so disappointed to see the color from the fondant pieces running onto the cake. It was poorly made and I was so upset. Be careful when asking for a specially made cake. From what I received they are not as creative as they made themselves out to be. I trusted them and based my decision on the reviews and after meeting with the owner who insisted my cake would be made exactly how the photo showed, and I did not get what I paid for. The owners wife was the one who made the cakes and she failed to see the problem with the cake. It did not look anything like the photo I showed her. She does not seem experienced in custom cake designing. I will not be recommending this place to anyone looking for a custom cake. My daughters 13th birthday was special and I hoped for specially made cakes that represented the occasion but that I did not receive. This year I will be doing a more thorough research on a bakery.
