Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Texas

On August 30, 2023 at 07:26:46Pm transaction No. 106649660 I order a large double pizza sauce double pepperoni pineapple ground beff with the romesan crust cooked well done which was 23.49 two garlic butter dipping cup which was 1.38 and a 20oz mug root beer which was 2.75 total came out to be 29.90 the young lady who took my order was very nice and respectful here’s where my problem started once the pizza was done the young man brought it to the car before he walked away I said sir you forgot my root beer and as he was walking away I checked my pizza before leaving and noticed that my two garlic butter cups that I paid for was not in there so before he went back into the store I said and also my two garlic butter cups the young man came back with the root beer and proceeded to tell me that the two garlic butter cups were in the box and I proceeded to let him know that it wasn’t so he proceeded to go back in the store and talk to the manager which name she gave me was Zann so as I’m looking inside of the store I went in the store with my receipt to show I paid for it and wasn’t trying to get anything that I didn’t pay for the young man then accused me of taking them out the box his exact words to the paying customer was you took them I proceeded to let him know again they were not in the box and he states again you took them so I called my witness who was in the car when I checked which was my mother to verify that they wasn’t in there he again called me a thief right in front of the manager Zann that was working on tonight. She again allowed him to continue to call me a thief for something that cost 1.38 here’s my problem if I wanted 4 cups I would have paid for 4 instead of two at the time I made my purchase the young man was rude and very unprofessional and to accuse me of something I did not do. I want the video footage pulled and looked at the packaging of my order so you the owner can see that indeed it was not in there now if the person who puts the pizza in the box made a mistake and error and forgot to put it in the box understandable and no issue but to be insulated and accused of stealing something of such small monetary value is unacceptable and demeaning. The young man even accused my mother of lying a woman who has been on her job for 34 years and is 63 years old of lying. Then to add insult to injury the manger Zann proceeds to tell me she just going to give them to me as if she was doing me a favor but you can’t give me anything that I’ve already paid for not one time did she offer an apology nothing she even accused both my mother and myself of stealing as well. As a customers who just spent money at your establishment to be accused of stealing something that cost 1.38 was very unacceptable very demeaning very degrading very deplorable and very rude and yet an apology was not even given....

Dear Marco's Pizza Owner of this location...

Hello, I saw your reply to my review along with my sister's, and I would like to say that the order wasn't in either of our names. It was in my mother's name. (Hence why I said my family and I in my original review & the picture of the receipt should be attached with the name to the order.) And my stepfather called the location and complained about the condition of the pizza, but like I said before in my first review, we were told that the slices looked normal, which is false due to that there was barely any meat on the pizzas that were ordered and the cheese would fall off so easily when you grab a slice before we have the chance to take a bite.

I also saw that you replied to my sister's (Tiara W.) review as well and mentioned the picture she included. Yeah, we did eat the pizza, but that was after we called your location and was disregarded about our concerns, and since we spent over $50 on the order, we didn't bother coming back to your location since the employees are lazy and inconsiderate with our food. Overall, your location and the experience we had is still unprofessional, and you guys...

The supreme pizza I had was extremely subpar - you can get a better pizza at most other fast food pizza chains such as Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Papa John's. The sauce was lacking, the cheese mix didn't really taste like much. It's as if I purchased a large pizza from a high school cafeteria - the dough was plain, and rather thick and chewy. The pizza I had felt like just cheese, sauce, and toppings slapped on top of bread. On top of that, the ingredients on top of the pizza were pretty raw for the most part, and the whole pizza felt undercooked.

I'm not sure if it's the quality of the ingredients, or their method of baking the pizza. It was honestly better tasting when I heated up the leftovers in a pan.

From having tried a variety of styles of pizza and having tried most pizza chains as well, this particular Marco's sits at the bottom for me. I'm not sure how the other locations would fare.

Needless to say, I would rather order my pizzas from places like Domino's if I wanted...
