Noodle Plus has some good broth that goes well with many of their ingredients. Of all the broths we think the Tonkatsu has the most flavor and does go with the majority of their ingredients. Their meat selections (beef, chicken, pork chashu, are fine, but beware because more times that not it is usually more on the tough side and takes some chewing. Our favorite protein is the dumplings! Delicate on the outside and tender on the inside! You can't go wrong with any of their veggies or toppings and you have to go spicy! An added flavor layer that completes the whole meal! Our go to combos are tonkatsu broth, spicy, dumplings (protein), bok choy or sprouts and all the toppings. Great combo that all work together for a super flavorful dish!
As for appetizers we enjoy the chicken egg rolls. We've tried the soup dumplings (not much soup inside, more filling). Veggie egg rolls are crispy on the outside but pretty mushy on the inside, that's why we prefer the chicken because it's not mushy. Crab puffs are really crunchy IMO, but not enough filling on the inside. And the sweet pork bun was pretty dry and bland.
Service is always great and more times than not it's never super crowded so the restaurant is pretty quiet and quite enjoyable. The ladies working the front are super sweet and always have a smile on their face. Always welcoming and will answer any questions you might have. Overall it's a great little soup shop for Crosby. It's craves any hankering you might have for soup and you don't need to...
Read moreWe arrived early evening friday.. ordered a leaf bun and 2 tonkotsu large 3 proteins ramen.. I've never heard of a single egg being considered a protein for a dish and I eat ramen alot.. so that's my complaint usually restaurants charge for a extra eggs not the single that's usually included unless you specify none. Also spice is not hot at all... Louisiana hot sauce would've given more spice spicy tonkotsu is or should be red chili paste making the broth itself a deep red as you can see neither of ours had any chili paste or heat except the jalapeño my husband had to order to get heat, which is CRAZY..Asian spice is HOTTT a jalapeño should have been tasteless in a spicy tonkotsu.. but alas this is a high Caucasian area with upper middle class Caucasian who think a jalapeño bomber is Hot .. but for this blended couple ( and I'm white) there was 0 heat even black pepper could have made a diffrence in this.work on what a spicy soup actually is do better for your culture.. cus that was saddening.. otherwise prompt cooked well .. and NO THEY DO NOT HANDMAKE THEIR RAMEN OR ANY NOODLES I TOO SHOP AT 99 RAMCH AND KNOW WHAT THEIR FROZEN NOODLES LOOK FEEL AND TASTE LIKE...
Read moreI went here once months ago and by looking at my profile I'm Nothing but honest in my reviews. So honestly this place was horrible.. like come on I don't know if people are just accepting it because it's Crosby but I was hoping for something good. I asked for chili oil and yk what they gave me chili powder, and a bottle of oil. Like what is that. that's definitely not chili oil in my books. And the noodles were very hard, and the broth I couldn't even wrap my head around what it was supposed to be. My mother got these scallops they definitely tasted straight from the freezer. Egg rolls were good though but I would be surprised if they weren't. I'm sorry 😞 but I know I eat frozen food but I don't want to taste it plainly. 😅 yeah this was not for me and I'll never be back sorry yall but I have to be honest about this place. I could have made something way better at my...
