Peso's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Texas

Service is very bad. The lady that works with the curly hair during lunch is very rude. I usually go for lunch and order a coke in a large to go cup and today I went and she brought out a regular sized to go cup. I said oh maam I asked for a large. She got an attitude and said that is a large. In which I replied no whenever I come you all always give me the big to go cup. She said this is the large one, I don't know what else you want. It then took her an additional 8 minutes to come back to my table to take my order and my plate was out in under 2 minutes. The rice tasted like boxed rice a roni...Not what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. The lady with the curly hair is very rude, she does not check on the tables, and when you have to stop her to ask for a refill or napkins, she gets an attitude. I have been a waitress before and I understand times can get hectic, but you should never get an attitude with the customers or argue with them or throw dishes, etc. From now on, I will go right across the street to Iguana Joes... It may be a little more pricy, but at least my service will be favorable and I wont be served...

First time trying this restaurant and I was very happily surprised! The decor is charming. You get to seat yourself so none of the "Which do you prefer?" as you glance around. Service is quick and friendly. Owner came over and welcomed us before our order was taken. The menu was what I expected with a few surprises. The best part is being able to have your meal made to your liking. I am not a fan of added heat to my food. Seasoning is great as long as I can still recognize the food I am eating. Pesos does it to your satisfaction, it is not pre-prepared chain food. The hubby had the seafood Fra Diavolo dish and was pleased to find out that he could determine the amount of heat he wanted. He loved it! The margarita and pina colada were perfect, also. Traveling north on 2100? THIS is the Mexican restaurant with the best food and easiest access, leave the one across the street to...

I was pleased with the food and sevice. However I cant believe they allow smoking inside. This ruined an otherwise enjoyable dining experience and we will not return. Iguana Joes has a properly seperated and ventilated smoking bar that is never a problem. We were in a "no smoking" section which was 8 feet away from the "smoking section". I literally had my entire experience ruined because a visible smoke trail drifted across my table as we were eating so we got up and left immediately and will not ever return. Pesos either needs to decide to become a smoking sports bar or get serious about coming out of the 1980s and put smokers outside or simply follow the rest of the restaurants lead into the new century and ban smoking. Let the smokers have the sports bars and leave the clean dining to the rest of us who can go 30 minutes without...
