Choose the DINE IN for the pho. You get a nice, large bowl (and lids are available on the side). The to-go cup separated the soup for you and appears to be well constructed to prevent leakage, but you won't be able to fit all of the items into the broth immediately (a watched a friend try to fit all the rice noodles in there).
The beef pho is my favorite option so far. The chicken is a little bland itself- but is an okay with the broth.
The chicken banh-mi is a great sandwich (not the same taste as the chicken in the pho). I personally liked it better than other banh-mi sandwiches I have had elsewhere (namely Oregon).
The teas are great! The come sealed and have chunks of fruit in them (I enjoyed the green tea and the Vietnamese coffee). One of my soldiers loved the taro smoothie.
I would absolutely recommend stopping by here. Even in the summer heat of July, the pho is worth it (maybe because the AC of Freedom Crossing) - don't overlook...
Read morePros: loved the rice plates, not the most authentic Taste but it’s really good! The beautiful smell of pho fills the PX and that’s something to really admire!
Cons: sad they were sold out of spring rolls but it’s normal for a new place! So no biggie :) BUT what I did have a problem with was the customer service. I asked what they recommend the girl said “popcorn chicken”. You’d think they’d recommend something viet authentic? After I had mentioned that I’d rather have a viet food recommendation she started giving sarcastic/rude toned answers.
My family being from Vietnam and myself being raised with the culture made me happy to find a place like this but the customer service was horrific. I hope this can be resolved ! Not upset, hope to visit and hope to not have that cashier take my order again. And maybe have them try viet dishes and not recommended basic foods like...
Read moreI ordered the chicken bahn mi, fried roll and black tea for lunch. This location is inside the px food court, so it was convenient for me.
There is a small seating area inside for dine in, although thats not a negative, seeing as there is more seating "outside" in the food court. Appearance wise, everything looked clean and nice. Nice menu showing the different teas and food items, with pictures of some of them.
I didnt order through one of the employees as i used the kiosk to order, although the lady that served me was friendly when she gave me my food.
As far as the food, i enjoyed it. The bread seemed fresh and crusty, the chicken tasty and veggies were crisp. I was given a side of bean sprouts, lime, basil and jalapeños which was nice, though i didnt use it all.
Overall...
