Restaurant La Ezperanza #2 — Restaurant in Texas

Me and my daughter visited this restaurant on 10/25/24. I ordered 4 tacos and a sprite. While waiting on the food we went and sat back in the car because it was too cold inside. After I came back I noticed another worker came from the back just staring at us so at the time we ignored it. I got my food and grabbed my sprite and walked out the door. The lady waited till I walked out came running to my car saying u didn’t pay for the sprite. If she forgot to ring it up she should have apologized and said she forgot. Instead she tried to make it like I was stealing the sprit. So I paid her and told her keep the sprite. This definitely had a lot to do with the fact that we are black. So if you are colored please avoid this place are prepare to get weird looks the entire time your waiting...

So let me tell you why only two stars. Because it is not because of the food. I was given the wrong to go order. Went to my car open the order, went through the order looking for my chips and queso. Opening containers, all. My mistake was taking the order back inside (covid). I offered to pay half price for that order so they wouldn't lose everything. I told the cashier, "You can't sell this to anyone else". Her response was, "Why?" They wouldn't let me purchase it, that's fine, but you kept it, you didn't discard it in front of me. You don't know what went on with that food in my possession. So needless to say, I will not be buying anything else from there, not worth the risk. You should have discarded it. Are I should have never brought it back inside...

Twice been here and twice the service is not up to par. I decided to try this restaurant again and the service again sucked. When I first came in and sat down I was stared by the waitresses but not even a hello. It took more than five minutes before anyone came to ask me about a drink and provide me a menu. The restaurant was not busy, there were three tables. My food arrived cold due to the waitress not bringing it to me when it became available. Tortillas is to come with the meal and I had to ask for them. Once they came up they sat at the window until I walked up to the counter and ask for them. I will definitely not come back.
