UPDATE - June 2025: Why aren’t you at Rita’s right now???? Still amazing. Still incredibly consistent and delicious. I try something new every time I visit and I’ve never been let down. Do yourself a favor and order the Camarones Ardientes. You can thank me later. __________________________________________ Been here over a dozen times now and it’s always fantastic. The food is fresh, the margaritas are tasty and a good price, and the service is always good and friendly. Everything is seasoned perfectly. They make my favorite refried beans out of any restaurant I’ve been to. I also love the chips and both the red and green salsas are awesome. Both the corn and flour tortillas are great too. The quesadillas and enchiladas are noteworthy because they’re absolutely loaded with cheese and meat/veggies. I like that they offer a good amount of vegetarian options too! The portobello and spinach quesadillas are seriously delicious. Obviously the fajitas are good too. The lunch menu and the happy hour prices aren’t too bad! I’ve tried at least half of the items on the menu and every single one is outstanding. I’ve even been to the location in Pinehurst and it was just as good too. I can’t praise Rita’s enough! Easily one of our favorite restaurants.

If you could do 1/2 starts this would have been 3.5 starts from me. I was here for lunch mid week. Location is in an old shopping center. Clean and comfortable inside. I ordered the combo chicken and steak fajitas. While waiting they provide you with chips and red and green salsa. Salsa’s were both good but not great. Fajitas came out in about 10 minutes and were cracking hot. You get all the normal fixings like quac, sour cream, pico etc. The tortillas seemed fresh and were very good but they were street taco size small. Would have like a bigger tortilla. The steak was cooked well and tasty. The chicken wasn’t pretty bland and tough. I would stick to steak for fajitas. A big pile of onions is also with the meats but very little peppers. Rice and beans are served as well. They were both above average with the beans being really good.Service was pretty standard. Overall, it was a slightly above average lunch. I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here again.

Based on the high ratings we decided to walk from our hotel. What a nice neighborhood Tex-mex restaurant! Quiet and pleasant. Started with a top-shelf margarita and white cheese queso. The margarita was smooth enough but not shaken then poured over fresh ice making it lukewarm instead of chilled. We ordered the chicken al carbon enchiladas which were delicious and a combo of tacos al carbon and cheese enchilada. The beef in the tacos was flavorful but tough and too chewy for my taste. After letting the manager know she graciously treated us to a delicious tres leches dessert. We would still return given the excellent service provided and the ambiance. The homemade tortillas were well prepared. The silverware was hefty and not the cheap stuff offered by other Mexican restaurants costing much more.

Update to my latest visit Dec 2 2023

I dined in. Only one server in the place. I ordered the chicken fajita tostadas. They came with charro beans and rice. The plate which held the rice and beans were placed to my right of the tostada's. I went to take my second small bite of the beans and a decent size hair was in my mot. How disgusting. I flagged down the server and showed him what i found. He just stared at me and mumbled he was sorry. Explained that cooks should be wearing hairnets so I this doesn't happen. I then asked for a manager and he said none on duty. I then explained they wibe getting a bad online review. He then says when you are done eating, just leave. I managed to eat most of my tostadas but honestly I should have just walked out. I'll never go here again. I also made a post on the Nextdoor app so people in my area are aware of the negligence here. Be aware.

This was my 3rd visit. This time I ordered the beef and chicken quesadillas. It came with rice and your choice of beans. The portion size was very small but it was tasty.

Ivan was our waiter.

I asked for no sour cream on my plate and it was there. The girl I was with asked for a chicken taco as part of her pick your own plate and she got beef.

We were never asked how things were. Can I get you anything. I had to ask for more salsa and water. Ashame as the place wasn't busy. I hate to discount ones tip, but it was necessary. If you rely on tips, up your...

Food Quality: ★★★★★ (5/5) The food was excellent! We enjoyed the fish tacos and chicken tacos, which were flavorful and well-prepared. The chips and salsa were also a highlight, fresh and delicious. Service: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Unfortunately, the attitude of our waitress was a major disappointment. She appeared grumpy, offered no greetings, and her demeanor felt unwelcoming. While we were still eating, she brought the bill to our table, which felt disrespectful. Additionally, we noticed she treated other customers more warmly, making us feel unfairly singled out. Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ (4/5) The place itself is great, with a pleasant vibe and inviting setup, which made the service issues stand out even more. Overall Experience: Despite the fantastic food, the waitress’s poor attitude and unprofessional behavior overshadowed the positives. While the tacos and salsa were standout items, the lack of basic courtesy and respect makes it unlikely we’ll return. I hope the restaurant addresses these service issues, as the food deserves better representation. Recommendation: If you visit, the food is worth trying, but be prepared for inconsistent service. Management should focus on training staff to ensure all customers are treated equally and...
