This was a horrible experience, all the way around. The young girl taking our order (literally) had no idea what the Spicy Italian pizza was supposed to have on it? It advertises that it has 4 toppings that come with it, then she adds each topping as an additional line item. We told her, forget it, we'll just order another pre-made pizza selection. We asked to add mushrooms and leave off the jalapenos... the pizza comes, ALL jalapenos and no mushrooms... the Sabino's Favorite Salad was supposed to come with dressing on the side (we asked for that, because we didn't know if we would like it), but it came LOADED with dressing all over it... and they couldn't have added MORE pepperoncini peppers, it was loaded with more of that than it had spinach leaves... wow.. My wife and I looked at each other and both said at the same time "We could easily open a restaurant and serve better food with better service than this". And we're not kidding, even though we have never been in the restaurant business before... I'm Italian and I put up with a lot of lousy food at what's (supposed to be) italian restaurants, but the pizza was, literally, a frozen crust. Oh well, live and learn!
And, thank you for the response David, but you can't correct the issues we experienced, and frankly, I would not want to eat there again, even if it were free. If your dough is "hand rolled", etc, then its just poor quality dough. It was one of the worst pizza crusts I've ever eaten, no joke. I understand you try to run a good establishment, but with young people doing the order taking, you're just going to have a lot of apathy; that's just the way it is with young people, they have no idea how to provide (nor care to provide) good service. I'm a business owner as well and I've hired lots of losers also, so I get it. And I agree, the mozzarella was actually really good on the pizza, but with that lousy crust, I don't know what to tell you! If you want to know how pizza crust is supposed to be, try eating at Niki's... he's got the best pizza crust in the area, and very reasonably priced as well. And the...
Read moreWould rather have domino's pan pizza than Sabino's Chicago style. Where to begin... Pizza. A pizza should have crust. It should have toppings. Sabino's did have crust and toppings, and it was sufficiently hot when I received it. Service was average to good. Excellent cheese and perfect pepperoni. That's where this pizza party turns into splinters in your eyes in a lemon juice pool.
Terrible, completely wrong crust. Chewy, bland, tough crust that has ZERO love or character it it.
Deathly sweet, caustic sauce that tastes as if a high high-school teen tossed a melted cherry popsicle, pizza roll juice, some oregano and a tomato in a blender and slathered it on a fruit by the foot, then scraped it on a pizza.
Caesar salad was fresh, but for seven dollars (7 dollars!) we got a container that measures 2" x 5" x 8" half filled with about $0.10 of chopped romaine lettuce, about 18 croutons (not homemade) and about 1.5 oz of, I'm not kidding, the ABSOLUTE worst salad dressing I have ever had. I feel like someone grabbed my wallet, pride and tolerance for sugar and threw it in a dumpster fire, type of bad. If you love sugar, want diabetes and hate the taste of real ceasar dressing, you will still not like this.. Don't get the ceasar salad. Don't even thank me. Just take that energy and go get a ceasar salad from domino's, or any other pizza place. I think Walmart might have a better ceasar salad...
To top off this quagmire, we got home and realized we had to cut our own pizza. $27 for a 14" pepperoni Chicago (lol) style pizza and a salad (sample, thankfully)....
Read moreSo I've eaten lunch here on several occasions with no issues. I came in on a Sunday night though they seemed a little busy the inside only saw a few customers. I preface this to say the following. After order what I though was the same thing I order for lunch which is a deep dish individual cheese pizza. 30 minutes after ordering I asked about my order which I was told was finished and being cut. 15 minutes after that they finally bring it to my table. The only reason I asked about my order was a family of 6 that arrived after I did had received their entire order including a pizza before I got mine. Once I got the order it was not what I order. I was told that what I received was the deep dish. Though it was not the same item that I have had on several different occasions. In fact the "deep dish" looked like the standard crust on any pizza you get from the chain stores. I was very disappointed in this. Though I was told they would make me the right one I didn't have the time after 45 minutes to wait for them to make it the right way. I personally will never come back to this location for I felt I was treated poorly because I was by myself. I will no longer visit this place for lunch and if anyone at my office asks me I will no longer recommend this location to them. Just to let everyone know I have never left a review rather positive or not for any restaurant and hate leaving one now. Knowing how hard it is in this economy to run a food establishment. I do apologise for leaving this but felt that being as I feel mistreated by the staff that I needed...
