Dear Sandra's Mexican Restaurant Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred during our recent visit to Sandra's Mexican Restaurant.
On 7/11, my sister and I decided to try your restaurant for lunch. Upon entering, we were promptly seated and asked for our drink preferences. Initially, I ordered a water while my sister opted for tea. However, after realizing that the lunch special included a drink, I decided to change my order to tea as well.
As we awaited our orders, my sister attempted to order a soup but was informed that it had not been prepared yet, despite it being 11 am. Nevertheless, she chose another special from the menu.
To our disappointment, when our drinks arrived, we noticed an unusual taste in the tea. Upon further inspection, we discovered that the stirring spoon was visibly filthy, coated with some sort of foreign substance. Naturally, we brought this matter to the attention of our waitress, who simply responded with, "I'll bring you another drink."
I must express my concern over this incident and the lack of appropriate response from your staff. Not only was the spoon unacceptably dirty, but the dismissive attitude we encountered only added to our disappointment. It is disheartening to hear that such experiences are not isolated incidents, as we have come across similar accounts from others.
As customers, we place great value on cleanliness, quality, and attentive service when dining out. Regrettably, this experience has left us with a negative impression of Sandra's Mexican Restaurant. I sincerely hope that you take this feedback seriously and take immediate steps to rectify these issues.

Upon numerous times of seeing the service decline over the years I have always been a great retuning customer and I always include a 20% tip or more if in a bigger party. My most recent experience was on 9/16/2024. Where I placed an order for 6 tacos in the drive through. Once I received my order and took the bag home I realized they gave me someone else’s order. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with a lady who took my info and advised me that I can come pick up my order at my earliest convenience. This morning 9/20/2024 I called to place that same order and advised the manager “Sandra” of the incident that happened on Monday morning. She explained that there is no proof of my complaint or call. In addition there was nothing that she could do to help. I explained I had my phone call log, and provided proof of purchase via bank statement on my phone to show I was there and made that claim on Monday morning. I also explained that as a long lasting customer I have done a lot of work with this restaurant in the past and always enjoyed coming here. In addition we are talking about 6 tacos. $20.50 I was on the phone with her for over 25 min going back and forth of her explaining she couldn’t do anything and her staff said they do not recall anything happening on Monday morning with my misplaced order. Needless to say I was given one excuse after another on why she couldn’t not give me free food. I politely explained how is it free when I paid for it on Monday and your staff gave me the wrong drive-through order. I will not be taking my business here from here on out. Read moreUPDATE Sandra’s food is Delicious but for the prices the service is extremely lacking. I gotta say that Sandra’s has lowered their level of service. We went a couple of months ago and experienced some issues with the meals ordered. They did resolve it then however it was a problem that could of been avoided simply by watching what they were serving before allowing the poor quality of food to go to the customers. I decided to give Sandra’s l another chance. Well today was the day for that chance and once again they proved consistent with the last poor experience. First the male host upon entry and waiting to be seated, wiped his nose with the palm of his hand with an upward stroke and never washed his hands through the entire time there. He was placing menus on tables. Second after placing our order with the waitress and receiving our food we found that the menudos were flavorless and watery, the barbacoa taco had much fat and what appeared to be some thick long skin within the taco.
We kept looking out for our waitress but she was not in the dinning area. After some time I had to get up to ask for help with our service. They were able to locate the waitress she offered an excuse that she was cleaning in the kitchen while her customers were left unattended. The other staff and the waitress offered to replace the meal but it was too late as my party were done eating. The price of the subpar food was removedI. I noticed a drop in customers the last time we were there and today as well there was less customers than the other time. Sandra’s is dropping in all around quality of food and service.
