Snack Stop Diner — Restaurant in Texas

Worst service ever! As the waitress was placing our drinks on the table, a glass of water was knocked over. The waitress turned to the table next to us, with the rest of our drinks still on her tray, as the spilled water was running off the edge of the table onto one person’s lap. We grabbed all the napkins from the holder at our table & the table behind us. She finally turned around & put the rest of our drinks at the end of our table & started to walk away. We had to ask her to bring a rag to clean up the table. She brought 2 pieces of the blue paper towels. We told her that was not enough. After some minutes, she came with a rag to clean the table. We had to hand out the drinks ourselves. We were not offered glasses— just the cans of sodas. The entrees were mediocre. Had planned on ordering dessert, but we could not get our waitress to wait on us, so one person from our party of eight walked back & asked if we could get our bill. This is a very cute spot. It started with local snacks and then grew to burgers, tacos, etc. on the menu. They have a variety of foods quite pleasant, so I can't rate them as a burger stand or etc. But it is good. The ambient is very nice, nowadays anywhere A/C is bad so it was a bit warm inside, but doable. Alot of 50's memorabilia, so it's nice. Give it a try. Parking is alright yet limited if you have a big full size truck try and park to the left side of the back of place because your tailgate will stick out if you're parked on the right side and intervene with the drive through. This is a nostalgic trip to 50's diners. The decor is just enough and not over done. I especially love the car bench tables. Makes you feel like you are parked outside a diner. The staff also dresses in 50's style attire adding to the experience. Food is great. Great daily specials. The have an ice cream/shake/drink/smoothie bar where they prepared awesome drinks and desserts. Parking is limited but they do have a drive thru with an extensive food, drink and dessert menu with both American and Mexican favorites. They have a stage you can take pics on or sing karaoke if you are brave enough. ...
