Villa Del Mar – Stylish Setting, Flavorful Seafood, but Watch the Price Tag
Stepping into Villa Del Mar, you’re welcomed by a fresh, modern coastal vibe. The deep navy walls, warm wood tones, and stone accents create a relaxed yet polished setting. Natural light from tall windows and tasteful string lighting add to the inviting atmosphere—making it a pleasant place to linger over a meal.
Food
We ordered two taco plates: the shrimp gobernador tacos and the fish tacos. Both came as four generously filled tacos served on fresh tortillas. The shrimp gobernador tacos stood out, with a rich, savory salsa that brought just the right amount of spice and depth to each bite. The fish tacos were lighter, topped with crisp lettuce, pico de gallo, and a creamy sauce—fresh and satisfying, though the shrimp tacos were the clear winner in terms of flavor complexity.
Service
Service was average—polite and timely enough, but nothing particularly memorable or above-and-beyond.
Value
Here’s where the experience dips. At around $18 for the shrimp tacos (without drinks), the price feels high, especially since menu prices have been creeping upward. While the quality is good, the value proposition is starting to feel less competitive compared to similar seafood spots in the area.
Final Verdict
Villa Del Mar offers tasty seafood and a pleasant dining space, with the shrimp gobernador tacos being the highlight. However, the rising prices and average service keep it from being an easy “go-to” for casual visits. Still worth trying if you’re craving flavorful seafood in a comfortable setting—just be prepared for a bill that’s higher than you might expect.

Read moreFood and atmosphere were great! However, service was terrible. We had to get up multiple times because our server never came to the the table. Service is everything & it can easily ruin dinning experience. Imagine working a long shift and then only to follow it by terrible service. Imagine being a parent and waiting weeks to have a date night and then it getting ruined due to terrible service. Imagine going as a family as we did tonight and never getting approached by ANYONE to see if we needed something. I just wish they cared more about the clients, its because of clients that these local businesses are...
