Southern Maid Donut Shop — Restaurant in Texas

This donut shop is an absolute gem in our neighborhood. The place is cozy, the atmosphere is warm, and the people are incredibly kind. One thing that stands out to me is the beautiful mix of cultures among the employees — it’s the only store around here where you see that, and it makes all the difference.

I don’t know the owner personally, but I’m 100% sure he treats his employees with great respect, because it clearly reflects in the way they treat customers. I’ve always been welcomed with such kindness and genuine smiles.

One of the things I love most is meeting people from different backgrounds. There’s Kathy from the Philippines — her service is always outstanding. And today I had the pleasure of meeting Ana from Cuba, Andrea from Ecuador, and Iris from Mexico. These ladies were so friendly, so respectful, and I could also see how well they treated every customer.

It’s funny how we’re quick to write a bad review, but take forever to post a good one — so today I’m finally leaving this review that’s long overdue. God bless this business. I hope you continue to grow. I even remember one Sunday meeting the owner’s son, who was there working too — it’s beautiful to see family involved like that, especially when they’re raising the next generation with such humility.

I’ve been coming to this location for many years but in the past months they have been bringing new staff they have a terrible customer service I went last week on a Wednesday in the morning to get some breakfast as always but this young lady she has color eyes she has a poorly customer service she is really rude with her attitude she gets mad even when you ask to put things separately in the bags..I called to speak to the manager I can’t really remember the ladies name she was pretty sweet whoever I spoke on the phone with and she assured me that they would talk to the young lady about her behavior so i decided to come this week Wednesday again with my daughters to get us some breakfast and once again I had an ugly experience with this lady I don’t understand if she doesn’t like her job or something is wrong with her she should stop working there if she don’t like her job I been coming here for so many years more than 4 years and I have never been treated so badly or never dealt with type of energy this location just lost one of there...

I drive by this place often, but I never stopped until today! I was very curious as to what they had to offer. Their menu just blew me away! Their selection of kolaches, croissants, tacos and donuts is pretty impressive! 😃Their prices are also very competitive, but slightly lower than other donut places in the area. I love that they have a convenient drive thru and that there is a menu for you to check out and make your selections before you drive up to the window. The man who took my order was very curteous and very professional. I had their boudin kolache, potato, egg, cheese and sausage taquito and their Bavarian creme, glazed donuts. They were all off the chain! To those who commented about their taquitos being "bland" do yourself a favor and order the taco with chorizo or simply add some salsa to your food you will not be disappointed...
