This Subway is absolutely phenomenal. Every time I think of my experience there, I want to cry. When I first walked in, I knew this was going to be the best day in my life. The kind employee greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, “Welcome to Subway,” he said. I ordered my sandwich, the speedy worker gathered all my mouth watering ingredients and placed it perfectly into the sandwich and put it in the warm oven. When it came out, it was the perfect kind of crispy. When I took a bite out of it I heard that crchhchhch, and I had to close my eyes with every bite. Once I finished gobbling my foot long down, I ordered a cookie. The worker handed me my warm and chocolate cookie, and as I took a bite, the chocolate oozed out. I then started to clean my mess, and he very kind young man offered to clean my mess. MY mess. This set me over the edge. I stood in my spot and began to ball my eyes out. This experience was the best restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. I want to thank the amazing manager, Haroun Haifa for this subway. I will forever owe you my life and everything else. I will sacrifice myself for this restaurant. If I ever go to jail, I would ask for a sandwich from this specific location as my last meal. I will catch a grenade for this, jump in front of a train for this, throw my head in a blade for this. I would highly recommend. Please go. I don’t think I can even explain how amazing this place is. Read moreI will say this is my experience and mine alone. Walked in to order the $6.99 meal of the day (the philly). The employee behind the counter went to ask another employee about the meal of the day and proceeded to return and ask what bread I wanted. I said Italian and employee grabbed Italian herb and cheese. Quickly corrected employee and then employee asked me if I knew what went on the Philly as this was his first day and didn't know. I proceeded to advise from their menu with substituting provolone. Fast forward to checkout and once I paid and received receipt realized I was over charged. Employee rang it out as a turkey sandwhich instead of Philly and charged me separately for chips which was more then $6.99
I waited to go back up to counter until the line of people had died down. In meantime, I witnessed another employee behind the counter pick their nose and wipe it in the shirt/apron.
At this point I proceeded to counter and spoke with a rude female employee who proceeded to tell me I was in wrong for not ordering correctly. The employee who rang me up even came over and confirmed I did have Philly and he rang it out wrong. The rude woman then proceeds to call the store manager who I can hear say they did nothing wrong and I was charged correctly which I was not. Was charged $5.69 for a turkey sanwhich which I didn't get and $1.59 for a bag of chips (which when added together is more then $6.99) rude woman then proceeded to yell at me and tell me I was wrong. Read moreI had a negative experience at the Subway at 2864 Loop 1604. Walked in and waited in line. One individual was doing all the work. Waited patiently as he took care of the customer ahead of me. There were 3 other employes standing around talking about shifts and doing nothing. A useless area manager was holding court. Another customer walked in and said something to one of the employees who dropped everything and began putting a sandwich together and the customer sat down at a table. They all continued to ignore me. I had been waiting and waiting. I finally protested and asked how much longer it would take to take my order. She got defensive and said we are all busy. I told her there were 3 other people doing nothing. She responded that one was an area manager. I told her to put him to work too. I complained to him. He just said sorry and continued to stand there doing nothing. I finally got my order. I paid and asked for a receipt. They mysteriously could not provide one. I ordered three 6 inch sandwiches. They charged me the footlong price for one of them. As I left I told them I would never be back. As a previous business director I was surprised this franchisee would hire such a lame area manager who could not rise to the occasion and provide good customer service or even remedial interaction to keep a customer happy. I would have fired him on the spot. A reflection of his incompetence was the sour attitude of 3 other employees. This location needs to be cleaned out and new people...
