Sweet Intensity — Restaurant in Texas

I've been coming to this place once every week or two since it opened. All of the deserts are clearly made (or chosen) with tlc and passion. The level of sweetness is much lower than at other desert places and one is not left with a sticky feeling in one's mouth afterward. One can actually taste the flavours.

The owner comes up with interest new flavours for her macarons every few weeks to keep things interesting. The owner gives specific instructions on when to eat the macarons depending on whether one prefers them soft or crunchy.

My favourite is the "Hummingbird Cake", a lighter, less sweet alternative to the more common carrot cake. A recent addition to the menu is your choice of (very good quality) ice cream smooshed with you choice of breakfast cereal. It sounds a bit weird but is a great treat to cool off from our summer heat. The kids would certainly enjoy watching it being made.

The service is always warm and friendly. It's a great addition to the Katy dining scene.

There is a huge variety of macarons in the shop. The most I have ever seen thus far. I am a huge macaron fan, and always searching for the best macarons. There are some unique flavors, and the colors are attractive. I also got a great service at the store.

I bought the crème brûlée, vanilla, nutella, earl grey, blueberry cheesecake, and raspberry lychee rose. I also ordered a fruity milkshake. The crème brûlée was the best out of the six I bought. The flavor was strong. The vanilla flavor was ok. The Nutella macaron tasted more of chocolate. There wasn’t any earl grey taste in my earl grey macaron. It was the same for the blueberry cheesecake, and raspberry lychee rose macarons (there was only a tad of raspberry jam). The flavors weren’t strong. However, the macaron shells had a nice crunch and chewiness. As for the milkshake, it was mainly sugar with no flavor. It may be due to the quality of ice...

this is one of my favorite sweet places in the world. I really enjoy their macaroons and also they have a lot of different sweet options. I have tried some of their cakes before and I’m sure they have drinks as well, but it is kind of expensive, which gets a little frustrating.I would say that I would come here a lot more of the prices were less, but it definitely feels like special occasion kind of treats.
