I don't often leave negative reviews for the restaurants that I visit, mainly because I am not very critical, but numerous issues that occurred tonight were on a whole other level. Firstly, I have many qualms with the price. For 2 people who ordered two hat creek burgers (their version of a regular cheeseburger), a side of fries, fried pickles, and a shake, it amounted to $38.63, which would not have been too bad if the food was actually substantial, but there were not that many fries and the burger was quite crushed down. Secondly, it is extremely loud in the restaurant. A big, widely touted feature of Hat Creek is the play place that they have outside, as it's meant to be a space where kids can have fun as well as adults. Well, sadly, it doesn't work that well. The outside area is extremely noisy from the dozens of kids screaming, and the inside constantly has the hum of machinery that never goes away. Finally, the worst part has to be the service. Initially, when I went to order, two shakes had been ordered, but we only received one, so I proceeded to go back up and reorder since my colleague wanted a shake with her meal, and didn't get one. This is where the trouble came. I paid for the shake ($5.73), and we waited for ten minutes, but it didn't show up. Then, when I went up to address this concern, they said that they would give me a refund, but after about 10 minutes of that, we were told that we needed to move over because they needed to take the order of "other customers waiting in line." As of writing this review, I have not received my money back digitally, so I will update this if that happens. But for now, this restaurant has been the most disappointing place for a burger that I have ever gone to. Go somewhere else if you want better food, a better atmosphere, and better staff who...
Read moreWe recently celebrated our son’s fifth birthday at Hat Creek Burger Company on Mason Road in Katy, Texas, and I have to say, it was the most memorable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. Gabriella, the General Manager, along with assistant managers Jarvis and Maria, went absolutely above and beyond to ensure our celebration was perfect. They truly provided service like no other – I can't imagine any other place offering this level of care and attention to detail.
The food was phenomenal – everyone in our party couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was! But what really stood out to us was the exceptional service. Gabriella worked with us every step of the way, ensuring everything ran smoothly. She made sure every little detail was taken care of, which made the day stress-free and full of fun for everyone involved. Jarvis and Maria were equally wonderful, helping us with anything we needed and providing a level of service that exceeded our expectations.
Thanks to the incredible team at Hat Creek, our son’s birthday was a dream come true. The memories made here will last a lifetime, and we will absolutely continue to be loyal customers. We will also be recommending Hat Creek to all of our friends, especially for anyone looking for a perfect place to celebrate with kids. Thank you again, Gabriella, Jarvis, Maria, and the entire team for making our son’s fifth birthday so special – we appreciate you all more...
Read moreWe came to celebrate my nephew on a Wednesday night. There was ample parking and no wait to order. There was only one other family there when we arrived. The service was friendly, which is the only reason for 2 stars. Someone brought out each order to the patio as it was ready. My burger was missing the lettuce, onions, and tomato, which I was later given on the side when I brought it to the cashier's attention....the veggies were fresh tho. The fried pickles were awwwwful and I should've returned them because I absolutely threw $6 in the trash with that one. The were salty and soft. The milkshakes were nothing to write about, dairy queen, sonic, or McDs would've been a better option. The burger didn't have any flavor, I'm not a sauce person (no mayo, ketchup or mustard on my burgers) so maybe their sauces would've provided more flavor. The patty definitely was NOT seasoned. The sweet potato fries were a bit too crispy. The kids enjoyed the playground. There were fans on the patio which was nice and much needed for our Houston heat. The sweet tea was really good. Overall, we were disappointed and definitely should not have had any expectations. Idk that I would consider this spot a "burger company". I wouldn't return for anything on the menu, however, if we were in the area and the kids needed somewhere to play we'd get some fries and have...
