I everything is expensive right now But an agua fresca made with Powder with no cantaloupe in it way too expensive. 5.00 a cup now ( overpriced). So i try to make my own, buy klassy cantaloupe powder and put some shredded cantaloupe on it its a lot cheaper. I use to love this place a lot but I stop buying from them after realized its overprice. And then i found a hidden gem in channelview its birrieria y micheladas #2 omg they are cheap And very delicious. Its still close in highlands. Their sopecitos is so good and taco el chef . It is in E Freeway Service Rd Channelview ll. very very close in highlands and 5.2 miles from where I live in Battlebell. We placed an order for a family platter of El Pastor tacos with sides of beans and rice. Staff were very friendly and courteous. For a semi stationary food truck they are well organized. While continuing to prep our order they assisted sever other customers with smaller personal orders without increasing the wait time for either of us. Once we received our food it was packaged in high quality plastic display and serving platter. This made transporting the forty tacos with beans and rice simple without having to worry about spillage. Upon opening a trying the tacos we were all pleasantly surprised. The taste was fantastic. So me and my girlfriend used to love this place. She introduced me to it about 2 months ago. ( she has been eating there for about 1-2 years) We went about 2 days ago and let me tell you. The food was horrible. The meat was full of grease. There was no flavor. Now I know grease is always present when eating street food but the RICE had so much grease in it, you would have thought it was soup. They gave us one slice of lime for 2 plates. Which was only found after my girlfriend ate the beans, as it was at the bottom of the beans. We definitely will not be going back unless the food is improved a whole lot.
