I have mixed emotions. I usually like to go in for an apple cider and fish n chips when Im in the neighborhood. Im always happy about the service and how friendly the staff is. Today was very different. I was looking foward to a nice lunch as usual and to give a good review but not everyday is the same. Easy enough for the bartender when I walked in I knew exactly what I wanted to drink and eat so ordered everything right away. After the food was served. I noticed that it was just as delicious as always. The difference was in the staff today. I sat at the bar to enjoy my lunch and after the food was served the bartender never came around to ask me how the meal was. I noticed that the tartar sauce was extra spicy and it was very uncomfortable to eat with the level of spice. I thought maybe that they added a new tartar sauce and I was hoping to see if I could get their original tartar sauce but throughout the whole meal no one checked on me. When I was done with my plate and my drink I pushed it to the end of the bar and no one bothered to pick it up. I flagged down the bar back to ask her about the tartar sauce. She immediately argued that it's the exact same tartar sauce I literally had to defend myself to make a point that I was not exaggerating about the level of spice a short while after call Ma she went back to the kitchen to check and sure enough she agreed it was spicier than normal. She explained that once that gallon was finished that a new batch would be made and it would not be as spicy hopefully. She said they added cayenne pepper and probably added a little too much. By the way the plate and glass still stayed in front of me. The bartender was very friendly with the people to my rights and was very eager to talk with them the whole time. So I waited for his eyes to eventually shift my direction so I could ask for the check. I normally tip more than I did today because I felt like I was an outsider and not welcome. I'm really so disappointed with the way I was treated today that I don't know if I will come back. When I left the plate and glass were still in front of me no one the entire time asked me how I was doing. Hopefully more training will be implemented for the employees. I get that it is in the middle of the week and the weekends are the most important but you never know who is going to walk into your establishment at any time on any day. I'm really disappointed because I wanted to leave a good review period and their defense this is the first time I have ever had an experience or I did not feel welcome and I really did not feel...
Read moreHorrible service, high prices. My Irish friend was in town and I was really wanting some fish and chips. This place had the best reviews. I was so bummed out didn't live up to the reviews. It was almost ten minutes before someone came to take our drink order. We waited, and waited for half an hour for someone to come back so we could order some food and another drink. My friend had been timing it, unbeknownst to me. He went to pay for the beers and ran into the owner at the bar hanging out watching the two staff run around. My friend (who is maddeningly polite) pointed out to the owner that we had been waiting and he wasn't even apologetic. I'm glad it didn't work out because it would have been around $70 for a few beers and fish and chips. Crazy. Now I suspect they are getting their friends to do all the good reviews. đ¤ Luckily we found a fabulous Indian place down the street. Night...

It is unfortunate that I had to give one star to this establishment. We wanted to make this our default hangout even though it was way out of our commute. More than once the table was cleared out when there was food and drinks on the table when we stepped out inspite of the waiters knowing weâd be back (Obviously we had not paid up and were standing right outside the door). We were compensated with the food and drink but that again disappeared. The first two visits, we let it go and the third visit the same thing happened again. When questioned the waiter callously announced he compensated the first time anyway. The point is it was wrong to do it and hence we were compensated. Taking the compensated food/drink away only drives the point that they donât want us there. Three different occasions....
