The wife and I went to Shakertins yesterday evening Thurs July 25, 2019. We sat outside on the patio and listened to some great live music. The weather was really nice. We got there about 6:30 PM just before the music started at 7. Needless to say there were no servers attending the tables outside. Had to go inside to the bar to order drinks.
Finally at about 8 PM a blonde waitress started to wait on a few tables but ignored the rest. After a while I went back to the bar to order and as soon as I left the Mgr came to our table and asked the wife if we needed anything. Really? After I leave to go the bar you ask if we need anything? Terrible service and right under the mgr's nose.
The owners could be making a lot more money with a better wait staff.
I'm giving this place 3 stars because the bartender did a good job with our drinks and food order. Yes I had to go inside to the bar to order a burger from the bartender who also had to bring our food to the table. I appreciated his service and of course I was glad to tip him accordingly. Why this place has a wait staff.... I don't know. The burger was excellent, although I did picked up a little too much cumin (I think) in the meat?
Next bad mark.... the restrooms. I didn't notice it in the men's room but the wife came out and said the women's restroom was disgusting. She said the tile had gunk and mildew all over it and the toilets looked as if they had dried puke on them and not cleaned in weeks. She said it was the worst restroom she has seen in any restaurant of this type. It's more of what you'd find at some truck stop gas station along the highway.
Value: The three of us had two mix drinks, 6 craft beers and one burger and the bill was $44.38. Not bad.
Overall; Bartending was excellent. Live music venue was excellent. Nice patio - although the broken string lights need to be replaced. Burger was excellent. Bar service excellent. Good value and atmosphere but the owner needs to get a handle on the management, the wait staff, and cleaning problems. So much potential at this place and so many negative reviews about...

ZERO STARS AND TWO THUMBS
Placing multiple outside speakers to entice patrons to enter your establishment is great idea, but not near residential areas. Shakertins owner, manager, and or hired disc jockey clearly aren’t aware of The Colony’s code of ordinance SEC 6-192. From about 8pm until 2a residents living directly across Shakertins have a nightly unwelcomed invitation to experience what it’s like to live inside a club sound speaker from our livings and bedrooms. Shakertins has an eclectic range of musical genres, From Night At The Roxbury style techno, to current twerking tracks. Since their recent reopening we hear the bass and lyrics to every song played until closing 7 DAYS A WEEK. I thought I signed a lease at Austin Ranch The Colony, not Austin Ranch Club Kids. Shakertins, please dismantle outside speakers and or lower level of music decibels from 85+ to 60 from 10pm until 2am. The Austin Ranch residents like myself really need more than 3-4 hours of interrupted sleep due to your shenanigans...
Read moreSome friends and I decided to check this place out since we were in the mood for some martinis.
The good: the atmosphere was nice. The wallpaper was cute and I loved the art deco tile in the bathrooms. The truffle fries, queso, and my friend said the burger tasted great.
The bad: despite having lots of cool drink options in the menu, about every other drink we ordered we couldn’t get since they were out of one of the ingredients. This is poor management. If you have signature drinks you need to make sure to have stock of the need ingredients. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper despite it being early on a Friday night. Once again, poor management.
The music was at a good volume level until about 10 pm when it was so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation even if yelling into someone’s ear. There were about 6 people in the lounge/music area at this time and they were struggling to interact with others. I could understand if the whole place was on the dance floor but the volume level was overkill.
I don’t think...
