I recently had the pleasure of dining at Elender's, a quaint eatery located in Thomas, WV. Numerous people recommended them. I have to say, I was blown away by their poke bowls and spring rolls!
The poke bowls were fresh and flavorful. I opted for the tuna bowl, which was perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of heat. My wife ordered the shrimp bowl and it was equally delicious.
The spring rolls were crispy and packed with flavor, with a perfectly balanced filling of shrimp, vegetables, and rice noodles. We really enjoyed the addition if the onion for a additional kick. The peanut dipping sauce was a standout as well, with a sweet and tangy flavor that perfectly complemented the rolls.
The atmosphere at Elender's was cozy and inviting, with friendly staff and a relaxed vibe. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food.
Overall, I highly recommend Elender's. It's the perfect spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. I've heard their burgers are the best...

Every time we visit Thomas or DCL, we always say how we have to try Elender’s! Well, the time finally came a few weeks back and let’s just say it was a mighty underwhelming experience. The fact that a hair ended up so deeply embedded in my vegan bahn mi was an unexpected and jarring turn of events.
I would also note that this is not a full-service restaurant even though the price tag may say otherwise. You order at the bar and they bring your food out to your table, so be prepared to go back up each time you need a refill or require assistance from staff.
It has great potential and they seem to be doing something right based off other reviews, but I sadly won’t be back to give it another try. One-and-done...
Read morePleasantly surprised. Food options were not what we expected for the area, but very good. Would do five stars, but no service was offered at the table. For the pricing and layout of the restaurant making customers place food orders at the bar was a pain. No need for two people behind a bar and not have someone take orders at the table. This especially made it hard for families. Also had a limited kids menu and wasn’t able to modify items on the menu to be kid friendly. Either way, one of the better options in the area. Burgers and Bento boxes were all amazing. Crab Rangoon Mac and cheese was...
