Tie One on Taphouse and Fly Shop — Restaurant in Thomas

Our new favorite! High-quality, simple fare made with locally grown ingredients (at their farm in Woodstock, VA). The owners are on-site and also run the highly-rated Woodstock Garden Cafe, so the experience is relaxed and friendly. They've worked hard to preserve the feel of Thomas as a coal mining company town and the ambiance is warm and intimate.

The food was delicious - we had chicken salad on Chibatta and the Tuscan chicken soup and toasted cheese bread. We found the food to be an excellent value. A wonderful selection of local and regional beers are on tap - the Imperial Stout was delicious. The owner is a certified brewer with amazing beer knowledge and the ability to make recommendations. We had a freshly baked Apple Blondie for dessert - perfect.

Great folks with an incredible hidden gem. Local place with amazing beer snd other beverages. The menu amd food are eclectic and all homemade. The owner grown heirloom tomatoes were best I've had all season. Adapting to the existing structure and using the charm and warmth present in a century old building makes this place so comfortable. From the kindness of the owners, the music and food to the original store counter turned bar, this is a place you want in your life. Peace and love...

I travelled to the Canaan Valley for work and heard about this place the whole week. So when the weekend hit I came to check it out. I’m not sure how long they’ve been open but it is the by far the best atmosphere, best service, and friendliest owners in town.
