Epicure Pizza LLC — Restaurant in Thomaston

Ordered Online. Service was fast and the guy was nice when I picked up. Packaged well. Restaurant looked clean. Pizza crust was good, but I was not a fan of the “Cheeseburger pizza “ flavor. I wouldn’t order it again. I’d try a regular cheese or pepperoni pizza in the future, because the crust was a good texture and taste. The Grinder/sub roll was old, hard and very chewy. Not much meat on it. I wouldn’t order the Italian combo again . I’m not sure why they give the option online for the burger to be cooked rare, medium rare, medium, etc….because the burger patty is 100% frozen and 100% microwaved (in my opinion). They may briefly touch it to the griddle at the end, but that’s doubtful. I eat out a lot and this is a microwaved burger that they serve for $13! The meat was very nasty. Smelled weird…had an odd color. It was dense and not textured like a regular beef patty. The burger at a school cafeteria would be 10X better. Sorry, but that’s the truth. You folks can do way better! Why not use fresh or at least real ground beef cooked to order ??…. Not just a microwaved frozen commercial “burger” patty. My wife literally took one bite and couldn’t eat the rest, that’s how bad it was. And if I didn’t live 2 towns over, I would have went back for a refund! I wouldn’t order any burger again. The Regular and waffle fries were good. They are not fresh or hand cut, just basic fries, but I’d order them again. The chicken tenders are nothing great. Just basic tenders. You get 4 with a bunch of fries for $10. No dip was provided, even though I asked for bbq. I wouldn’t order the tenders again. All in all, I’d only go back for pizza unless they make some big improvements on...

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

I just ate one of the best calzones I’ve ever eaten in my 53 Italian years. I’m shocked by the amount of food for the price point and I’m a sauce snob (a little bit) and the sauce is so yummy. Everything is super fresh.

They close at 9:00pm. I showed up at 9:10pm and the owner was eager to make me something anyway, after all was cleaned up. It’s so clean and welcoming.

This is a hidden Thomason gem. Tell your friends. Deeelicious!

I have to add that it’s only a few days later and I’m stunned again. You can tell the owner has a passion to feed families with the very best. The prices are SO GOOD. It’s unmatched in these times. To provide the BEST ingredients with such generous portions seems impossible to do, but he’s doing that for sure. I had a huge meatball sub that was so delicious that I kept shaking my head from side because I had no words. I also got a small garden salad for LESS THAN $20!

Amazing.

I want to eat here every day!!

Ordered for take out, told 25 minutes got there 30 minutes after calling. Walked in was asked if I was paying cash or on a card, said cash was never told amount to pay stood there looking at girl behind counter for 30 seconds before asking how much my order came to. Half the order was ready(a chicken wrap). Was told my small pizza would be “2 more minutes”. Fast forward 20 more minutes finally got my small pizza. Obviously they never even cooked the pizza until I got there. Said they were “very busy and sorry”. Two couples eating in dinning area and 1 other person came in the whole time I was waiting for the pizza, and they were told 2 minutes as well for their pizza. For literally 15 minutes of my wait for my pizza the entire staff was trying to figure out how to change the channel on the tv apparently that was the priority and not taking care of customers. Seemed like all new staff in there no familiar faces. Place was awesome past few years but now it’s gone down...
