My wife and I went into Ka Chai for lunch the first day they were open and it seems like they have it pretty well together. We met the owner Dave and he was very pleasant and was kind enough to share a sample of their most delicious chicken wings with us upon our departure. My wife had the drunken noodles and I had the chicken pad Thai and we ended up swapping because the drunken noodles were too hot for my wife but just right for me! They were the best I've had. The pad thai was noteworthy as well and we enjoyed the Thai tea. We were also very pleased to learn that they're in the process of opening a bubble tea bar with confections which sounds wonderful. We rated our experience five stars and will be back very soon I assure you. Thank you for a wonderful meal! Follow up: my wife and I had dinner here again she had the drunken noodles again and I had the seafood stir fry both of which were very enjoyable we also tried the spring roll which was a generous order of four with a nice dipping sauce and more of those delicious wings. Thank you Dave for another...
Read moreI don't often make reviews but I was really hoping for something great. I really love Boba and it is almost impossible to find Boba that is 1. Good quality 2. Variety of flavors and 3. Reasonably priced in Maine. When I heard that Ka Chai had started serving Boba I was thrilled with it being minutes from where I lived, but unfortunately it is just too expensive for me to have regularly enjoy. I am not at all angry or displeased, the quality of the Boba and the tea was good, everyone seemed very nice there and although I didn't get any food the portions looked sizeable and well presented. For what I got (medium) I would have expected to pay 4-5 dollars but with a tip I had paid nearly 10 dollars. I don't want to discourage anyone from coming here because I know this is a new business and like I said everybody seemed really nice who worked there, I just hope that at some the point the price will be lowered so I can become a frequent...
Read moreIt's early yet, so I'll be back with a stronger review, but they're of to a good start. The food was perfectly flavored by slightly dry. Service was a little weird but it was (officially) a soft opening. We had a number of dishes but I had - and can review - the Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. The pad Thai was good but a little dry. The spring rolls were perfect. It seems spring rolls have have, in most cases, become a throwaway appetizer but these were terrific. Carefully curated and lightly fried; I can't wait to see how Ka Chai does Fresh Rolls. As of two weeks ago, Ka Chai is building towards a hard opening but they are more than worth the visit. I'm confident that they'll have get five stars the next time I'm there, and I recommend...
