I've been ordering from Athens about 9 months now with decent regularity.

Athens is frustratingly inconsistent. The food can be decent, but it's a roll of the dice every time you order to see how well they execute. They have a tendency to send out food that's been overcooked.

The disposition of the staff can vary wildly depending on who's working at the time. Athens is frequently closed and doesn't keep to their posted schedule very well outside of Fridays and Saturdays.

They do offer delivery which is rare, especially in this area.

Overall, the restaurant skates by on the relative lack of options in the area for customers to get takeout in the area, rather than providing a dining experience I can really avidly...

Athens has good food, and is well worth the trip. However, they continue to have very bad service. Last time I was there I placed an order for fries when I arrived, then sat directly in front of the counter. After 15 minutes I asked if it would be along soon; the girl checked and told me it was almost done and would be another three or four minutes. That was when they put the fries in.

The time before they got both salads wrong on a to-go order and were resistant to replace them.

The time before, similar to the fries, they hadn't even started the pizzas by the time they told me to pick them up.

I ordered my pizzas (1 large 1 medium) 50 mins before my lunch break. Told 40 mins before delivery that was no problem. 1 hr later I had to call asking where it was as my lunch break was almost over. The girl told me the driver had just left. When the driver got there I had just come back from my lunch break. Let him know I was unhappy to be waiting an hour and 15 mins for my food when I was told it would be 40 mins. After he left he then came back in and tried to argue with me that it had not been as long as I had stated and tried showing me the time ticket when did prove it had in fact been an hour and 15 mins.
