I recently visited A.P. Deli and ordered the Original Big Beef Sandwich Combo, a classic that has always been a favorite of mine. While the flavor of the sandwich was as delicious as I remembered, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed by the quantity of meat provided. For the price charged, the portion size was surprisingly sparse, leaving me far from satisfied—a stark contrast to the hearty portions I recall from previous visits years ago.
The sandwich itself, to its credit, was flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing the signature taste A.P. Deli is known for. However, the value felt lacking, especially given the premium pricing. I found myself questioning whether the cost aligned with what was served.
Additionally, the location I visited could greatly benefit from some much-needed renovations and tender loving care. While the staff was courteous, the atmosphere and upkeep of the establishment detracted from the overall dining experience.
Despite these concerns, I would still recommend A.P. Deli to those who love the iconic taste of their sandwiches. It’s a staple for a reason, and the flavors deliver every time. That said, I sincerely hope the management takes note of the feedback from loyal customers. Increasing the meat portions and enhancing the ambiance would go a long way in restoring the restaurant’s former glory. Until then, it’s hard to justify the cost when the satisfaction just isn’t the same as...
Read moreI didn’t want to give them the 1 star but you have no choice if you want to express in words. When I pulled up outside, the wind was blowing with a smell of old seafood, my first thought was to turn around. I went inside anyway because for weeks I have been wanting a corn beef sandwich from AP DELi. I ordered a sandwich to eat half for lunch, and the other part for dinner, the bread was hard, the sandwich was cold, the by the time I got home to eat the sandwich the side without the mustard the bread was completely greasy, I bit into the sandwich and the meat tasted old on the way to being spoiled. I opened the sandwich to inspect the meat and parts were completely dried and crumbled like crackers. The pickle even tastes weird and nothing like the AP Deli in the city. I am more than sure If I consumed this sandwich I would be sick . I am totally recommend not going here, I will never come here again. The worst...
Read moreI have to say that I love A&P corned beef Deli sandwiches. My only problem is that I'm tired of getting a sandwich that's half and half lean. I understand they have to make money and they pay for the weight of that fat. But if they could at least offer us an additional charge lean and no fat that would balance out there making money. But if I want I'll lean that should be my option. It's perfect if you're a person that likes fat. I can relate to that part because I have family members that I absolutely adore fat and we eat that before they'll eat the lean. But I'm the opposite. I got to have lean meat.
I appreciate your response but the problem is I was told that in the store and after 2 months Of Ordering the same dish 3 times a week I would request it and still would get the same results. I was only saying that I would be willing to pay extra to make sure there's...
