Alpha Gyros — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I’m very big on customer service & respect! I frequently come to this restaurant maybe once or twice a week after work just to get so good food after a long workday. Normally the young lady with the glasses is very nice & she’s usually upfront by herself, but when I went in this past Tuesday she was accompanied by another young lady, dark skin with the nastiest attitude! I ordered an Italian beef combo , small garlic fry & a ginger ale can pop. I also wanted to add a cup of cheese which I didn’t order at first with my meal but I was trying to order after my food arrived I guess I bothered their conversation & asked too much for a cup of cheese but the dark skin lady had a very bad attitude about it & I have a very bad attitude myself which at 40 yrs of age I know how to manage but I’m still working on! Overall as I stated I like coming here for great food but perhaps training on customer service & talking to ppl while dealing with the public should be re visited! When I made my order over the phone, the lady who picked up clearly didn’t want to be there and was very rude. I waited 20 minutes before leaving the house to give them time to prepare it. When I arrived, I walked in and they still weren’t done with the food and it took an additional 20 minutes of me waiting until they were done with the food. All the while, the workers all had a bad attitude and none of them looked happy to be there whatsoever. After we received the food and got home, one burger had two top buns and one burger had two bottom buns. We asked for no mustard on one of them and got mustard anyway. The meat on both burgers and the gyro was cold like it was just sitting out for a long while, I had to microwave it to eat it. After calling two days in a row, they keep telling me there’s no manager there. How do you run a store with no manager there ever? But I guess that would make sense why the service was so awful, there’s nobody to manage the store and make sure the workers are actually working. This is probably the worst service I’ve ever...

On 09/25/2021 my mother ordered a 10 wing dinner from Alpha Gyros. After getting the order home we found out that the chicken wings were extremely small as if they were manufactured for a baby according to the words of my mother.

The chicken didn’t have that much flavor nor did the fries have a lot of BBQ sauce. My mother was extremely displeased, but I can say that the Jumbo Wings from Sharks Chicken and Fish on 159th close to Dixie Highway has bigger chicken.
