Hero's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I attended for a private event over the weekend it's a great place to watch sports but if you're into hearing the actual games going on forget about it cause music is also playing non stop. I really like the fact that they have 2 bar areas one on each side of the room. There's video gaming available among other games such as playing pool. The bartender there that night was alone which made it a long wait for drink orders to get filled. The down spot to Heroes is that they don't have a wait staff and just one kitchen attendant for food orders. Before my group left another bartender did come to help out but honestly for as many people that were in there at least 3 bartenders should have been available. They do have lots of free parking. There's security on staff which is a great thing considering how some people can ruin the night for other's by being drunk with no self control. Hero's offers live music on Tuesdays, There is Karaoke night on Wednesday, A Steppers set on Thursday. Hero's has it's high points and yes I would go there again because I had a nice time. I’m soooooo late posting this, however I noticed I hadn’t left a review and positively appreciated and enjoyed the short time we spent here. Looking for somewhere to bring in my best friend’s birthday because the spot we had planned on was closed for repairs. Happened upon here. There wasn’t a soul in the place and the bartender and owner were ready to shut it down. However they made an exception and served us drinks and shots(at a very reasonable price)to bring in her birthday(it was around 11:45pm when we got there) and even let us play our own music. They have a pool table, darts, and a couple other games to enjoy, in addition to a dance floor. This place DOES NOT PLAY HOUSE MUSIC ON FRIDAYS AS ADVERTISED!! Do not be fooled. They may play 2-3 House tunes for the whole night, and the DJ is going to TALK on the mic over the entire songs even then...begging you to constantly buy drinks every few minutes!!! All of the management there LOVES to talk trash on the microphones OVER the damn music. Pathetic how much they LOVE to hear themselves talk!
