This is a diamond in the rough! We dod a quick search for breakfast places in the area nearby and everyone is raving about this one. We were close enough to check it out for ourselves. We arrived between 930-1000am on a cold, rainy Saturday morning. We circled the establishment 1 time before we were lucky enough to catch an open parking spot. There parking lot (located on the west side of the building)fits about 15 cars. We were quickly, politely welcomed and seated. This establishment has seating for about 125 people. You aren't on top of your neighbor when you eat and you can have conversations with people at your table without having to tell. The have a handful of TVs, and a counter to sit at(if you prefer). In less than 30 seconds someone was there to ask if we would like coffee and brought us waters. Our waitress, Chrissy( not sure how she spells it) warmly greeted us. She also provided a thorough review of the most popular dishes. I made my choice based on her recommendation. I had unsweetened ice tea that came in a tall glass with a long stirring spoon. I order the thick grilled pork chop and eggs. My sides included grits and pancakes. Then we had a side of smoked sausage. My eggs were over easy with just the slightest crispness to the edges. I love them that way. The grits were a thick and stiff, again the way I like them. The pork chop had charred edges and good flavor (just like comfort food should be). It may have been very slightly overcooked because some parts of it were a little dry. But none of it went to waste because I couldn't stop eating it. The pancakes were spectacular. I live in Indiana and I would make a special trip.for breakfast to come and have these pancakes. The were fluffy and light and didn't become dense even with the warm syrup they brought me, that I then poured on every little piece. The smoked sausage must have been cooking when we arrived, because I could smell it when we were parking. It was tender, rich and popped when you bit into it. I bounced all over my plates (lol) and changed up the flavors with every last bite. Before leaving we grabbed a piece of lemon bundt cake. I saw it at the counter and it looked decadent. Too good to pass up. Everything there was amazing and all other breakfast places need to step up there game after this food experience.

This was my first time at Olivia's so prior to going I did read all of the reviews which made me a little nervous to be honest. However, these 1 star reviews couldn't be more wrong! You walk in and are greeted by one of the friendly staff members and we were taken to our table immediately which was great because I was starving lol! I looked around while being taken to my seat, I noticed how clean and orderly the establishment was. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. She took our order and our food was out within 20-25 mins or so. My cousins had the porkchops (fried pork chops were off the chain! SO GOOD!) and I had the the eggs with hash browns and sausage. The sausage was a little burnt for my liking, but the flavor was still pretty good. We also ordered some pancakes and a side of plain crepes. All were super tasty. Also, can I mention the tunes they were playing?! Seriously, if they were able to sell liquor I would have stayed there another 2 hours! Such a great vibe! As I mentioned previously, staff was super friendly and there was no sign of any of the staff members/management being rude or racist. All in all, I would totally recommend Olivia's!

My first time visiting Olivia's and I definitely won't be back. The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress was nice, but everything else about our experience was bad enough for us not to return or recommend to others After being seated, we had to ask when someone was going to take our order. After almost 45 min. (Ordered at 11:42am still waiting for food at 12:30pm) We still didn't have our food. After asking the manager, she offered an excuse that it was the meals we selected that was causing the delay. She said our ordered wasnt entered until 12:07. Her excuse for the delay was that the waitress needed to double check the order before sending it through. There were 8 ppl in our party, there was 1 steak meal, 3 catfish meals and the others were bowls and omlettes. I've never heard of it taking 25 min to submit an order and our waitress never returned to check ok us for refills of Coffee or software drinks. My experience showed that management offered excuses and refused to accept accountability for the issues. We even asked about military discounts and heard 3 different policies that no one could explain. Another customer was waiting to complain to management about her service and food, she too seemed to be dismissed by management and shared with me how they burned her steak and refused to remake it or remove it from her tab. Customer service is a huge part of the experience with eating out. This place either needs new management or needs to teach their current management how to give good...

Have been coming here for over 8 yrs. Was a regular during Covid for pick up. Waitress/Management staff was very courteous and professional. These new people working under this management staff can be rude and not customer focused(you get a feeling they don't want to be there).GO TO EGGSHACK-127th,BACON & JAM- 111th or EGGHEADZ - TINLEY PARK YOU WILL THANK ME!!!! I recently ordered a breakfast on a Sat. around 9:50am AT OLIVIA'S that had onions in it (my mistake for not confirming) however, I waited 30 mins. the waitress never came by to acknowledge they were remaking, it's was going to be a while (Nothing!), I asked the young lady at the counter to ask about the delay, 5 mins.(Nothing!), asked again for the manager, 10 mins. later she walks over with attitude so I knew it was a problem and she tells me I needed to wait until 'All' the orders that were put in after mine was completed because it was not the waitress fault.🤔 When I told her how long I had already waited she asked if I wanted to wait or 'what'? Well I did what a paying customer would do I walked out and decided to share my experience because I have the power where to spend my money. Being in restaurant mgmt years ago this would NEVER have been allowed at our establishment. Pre-Covid Olivia's use to be packed on the weekends and we would wait 1/2 hr to 45 mins to be seated because it was worth it..NOT ANYMORE! #poorMgmt...
