S.L Wine Bar — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I am highly disappointed. I wanted to try this spot out because I saw an advertisement on social media. They didn't have any food that was advertised. There is a chicken restaurant that you order from next door. I also asked for the wine flight. I was told they don't have it. It's a wine bar(make it make sense). It was extremely cold in there. The worst part was the owner. He was rude. He made me feel like he was doing me a favor by allowing me to spend my money there. There were very few people in there so I asked if he could play a certain artist. He told me he couldn't because it was iheart radio playing. I explained to him that it was my birthday and that I saw them on social media and drove all the way from Indiana to check him out. He didn't seem empressed and basically brushed me off. I was talking to my friend about it and he walked up to me and he said" u know I have ears". I thought to myself is he really in my face. I meant for him to hear me. The other owner his wife was at the bar the entire night drinking. The both looked very unpresentable. I don't feel they cared about my experience. I also overheard him say, "let me hurry up and get her outta here, get her bill". I would not go again and I would tell everyone I know and so on to not patronize this...

Me and my friend walked in on an early evening. Owner looks at us, says nothing, turns around to do stuff at his bar. We should have left then because how hard is it to greet your customers? But we sat down and waited 10 minutes, there was only a few women at the bar that had already been served so this was off putting. A lady walks in the door and comes to take our order, by this time me and my friend had made up our mind we weren’t spending any money here because we didn’t feel welcomed. We left to patronize at another nearby wine bar and was greeted at the door.

I supported this place at their grand opening brung a few people here, recommended this place in the past and I was about to bring more people here when I learned they were doing Sunday brunches. So it was disappointing and I won’t be coming back. It takes no effort to say “hello” to people that come in to support...

Guys let put you on to this new spot nestled in the exclusive Lansing Community I found out about this location looking in the Lansing newspaper and I saw new black businesses so I decided to go in and support and I was blown away a little backstory about it is black owned the husband and wife are both from Chicago and they have an exceptional wine tasting variety Rather your pilot likes sweet or dry wine blends you will not be disappointed the ambience is high catching and it's a big but small and intimate atmosphere it's perfect for private events bridal showers or if you just want to like I did hang out with your family I am definitely going to come back here multiple times I am a huge wine connoisseur I am lover of Cabernet Pinot Noir and Merlot make sure you guys check out their brunch specials and also you can book private events here as well hope this guys helped you...
