Beware of the Guac. Mashed avocados with no seasoning, no ingredients, no nothing…nada. For $6 It comes in a tiny container, with chips that are thick and hard. I also ordered a steak burrito suizo dinner, added onion and cilantro, with beans on the side; 24oz horchata to drink and a container of pico de gallo on the side. I was hoping the burrito would make up for the disappointing guac, unfortunately not the case. The burrito is dry without added salsas, it also lacks flavor. I was endlessly searching for a hint of seasoning, but the most I got was a slight taste of bland meat as well as the red and greens salsas I added on top of the burrito. The beans were decent, it’s hard to go wrong with refried beans with cheese on top. The best part of the meal was definitely the horchata and pico de gallo. The horchata was sweet, packed with vanilla and very smooth. The pico was fresh, well marinated and had a bright flavor profile with some spicy elements. Everything I look for in both items. I would pick up these two items as a snack or a compliment to a meal; very good and partly the reason I give my review 3/5 stars. Overall the food was bland but edible, the presentation and quality of the food run circles around the actual taste of the food. If you’re not big on flavor and seasoning, this is definitely the place for you as the quality of the food was good. If you’re looking for a Mexican place with both flavor and quality, I would recommend Cocula’s instead. Similarly priced with...
Read moreI usually feel bad rating a 1 star, but between the lack of fresh food, incorrect order, and rude service I'm totally okay with the 1 star review.
Food: Carne Asada Tacos were dry, no seasoning, and very small portions. (See photo) Also, one of our green Salsa cups were old because the Salsa bonded into a jelly/shakeable substance. So nasty! See below for the inquire of Salsa before knowing this.
Incorrect Order: Ordered 2 Elotes. One was supposed to have everything on it, the other everything but no Mayo. Unfortunately for us they both only had cheese on it. None had Chile or Mayo.
And to top of the experience; Rude Customer Service: I asked for extra Red Salsa for my Tacos because usually I drown my food in Salsa. The lady at the counter stated "I gave you a lot". Proceeded to open my bag of food that was originally sealed, and repeated "Yeah, you have enough". When I finally got home to open it there were 6 Salsas for 8 Tacos. Hmm...if asked was it enough, it indeed was not.
Overall, it'll be a once and done...
Read moreThis is my husband's and I third timing coming. The first time service was spectacular, food was good with the younger cashier. The last two times with the older cashier, the service and food kept getting worse. This last time we had to ask the cashier numerous times can someone clean the table so that we could be seated. It even got to the point that I had to interrupt the cook and ask her. Then out of nowhere a worker shows up and starts talking to the cashier then she proceeds to clean our table after our final time asking the cashier. Needless to say that our food beat us to the table the server was standing there with us with our food in her hand while we were waiting for our table to be cleaned. Which made for a horrible experience. The enchiladas were hard and not authentic. Not to mention we had the enchiladas before and...
