Holy moly that was awesome! You should eat here!
Roots Farm Cafe provides delicious, beautiful, and filling meals served in a rustic, homey atmosphere by a skilled and attentive staff! Our whole family demolished our lunches - not one crumb left on our plates! It was so beautiful we dove in before remembering to stop and take pics. We ordered and split a garden salad, a chicken panini, a veggie wrap, and the soup of the day: chicken dumpling. We have some dietary restrictions and the staff was very clear about the ingredients are in each dish, plus they proactively offered a myriad of substitutions for any problematic ingredients.
Everything we ordered was amazing! We especially loved the pickled onions and lemon dressing on the salad, the tender chicken and crispy crust on the panini, that goat cheese tang paired with the roasted zucchini in the veggie wrap - just mm mm mmmM! The soup of the day was phenomenal, loaded with chicken and veggies and topped with tasty dumplings (with more on the side). This restaurant filled our hearts and souls today without...
Read moreFood is "great" - Service was not so great.. Teach your people to be more respectful - and not shame and get impatient with customers who have allergies... Because its hard enough to have the allergies.
I have a severe nut allergy (Anaphylactic) - The server was rude about having to remake my sandwich that had pesto (pine nuts & Walnuts) Which was not labeled on the menu. (Which I took a bite of and tasted nuts).. Then I had a question about the GF bread (Because sometimes there are nuts or other allergens that they use to make alternative breads)... And he was short about it aswell... THEN LOL - I went to the bathroom and over heard the workers in the kitchen complaining about my requests and talking shyt. I guess its only cool If the people you're talking about don't overhear you.
Also there were dogs begging at my table in the beggining.. Do better. I like this place otherwise. But You might have lost...
Read moreNot everyone can tolerate chili, if you’re one of them then don’t go here. I had the breakfast sandwich, eggs and ham, was so hot my mouth still burns. If something is going to be spicy then it should be noted on the menu. Only sodas were Zia from Santa Fe. Ordered the ginger ale and even it had chili in it. Took it all back and just had a coffee. Husband said his overpriced sandwich was barely ok. He had the huckleberry ice tea that doesn’t have ice and tasted like water with dirt for color but it didn’t have chili haha. The place didn’t accommodate people with mobility issues at all. Seniors beware. Only one handicap parking place in big dirt lot. We are East Mountain residents for 34 years but definitely will not be going back to Roots and won’t recommend it to friends and neighbors. Go to burger...
