This was probably the worse experience we have had at a monicals pizza. To start off, we ended up being there for 2 hours. We ordered a large 2 topping family pleaser, another large specialty pizza, a individual pan and an individual thin crust pizza, 2-6pk of pepperolis and 5 breadstick. Drinks came out in a timely manner but then everything went down hill from there. The salad took a while to get and she didn’t bring any dressing. She was out seeing to other tables and we had to flag her down to get our dressing. The breadsticks came out cold, we eventually had to go to the front counter to get new ones because our waitress never came back to check on things. This has now been about an hour and we still don’t have our pizzas. We have seen several other tables that came in after us, get there food and one table had ate and left already. The manager in training came to the table and was made aware of the situation and wait time we had already had. He said he would get the manager to come to the table, she NEVER even came out to talk to us. So maybe another 20 minutes later our pizzas finally came out. The waitress still never came to check on us. We ran out of drinks for at least 15 minutes before she finally brought more. Once we were done eating, we waited again for our checks and again, we had to flag her down and ask for them. We had to get our own boxes for our leftover pizza. It was still another 10 minutes before we all decided to go up front and pay. The manager had only given us a $10 discount for all the issues, even though, again she never spoke to us. This was the worst service and experience we have had at the monicals in Tilton, IL. There was no reason all those other people to have ate and left before we even got our pizza. It was ridiculous and I would not suggest this...
Read moreIf you need a gluten free pizza- don’t go here. My significant other and I went here for pizza night and our server had us waiting for about an hour and a half for our food. Another server came up saying that it was in the oven- an hour and a half later (??? lol) while our own server refused to talk to us, avoided eye contact, and deferred to the other servers to talk to us. My gluten free pizza came out basically RAW and they tried telling us that they couldn’t get it to “crisp up” enough in the oven. They comped our bill and we left pretty irritated.
Fast forward to tonight and we decided to give the Tilton Monical’s another chance. We ordered a pickup order with a gluten free pizza and the gluten free dippers. Once again- the gluten free pizza is basically raw L O L! All you can eat of it is the toppings since you can barely even pick up a slice. This is the ONLY Monical’s that cannot seem to get the gluten free pizzas right! Every other Monical’s has made gluten free pizza perfectly fine and yummy.
Convinced they just want to mess up the gluten free pizzas so much nobody comes back to order them. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh and they are rude lmao spend your...
Read moreMy grandparents and cousin came from out of town. He is a disable vet with dementia, and my cousin has severe social anxiety. While here, their order was taken, and the short boy in the back made a variety of nasty comments including 'I'd never pay to eat here' and 'Thirty bucks down the drain'.
Upon hearing about their experience, I went there myself when I got out of work. I asked for the boy's name. The manager, Jennifer Fitz-I don't really care, dismissed my complaint and informed me 'That doesn't sound like any of my employees'. At which point I informed her that it doesn't matter if it sounded like one or not. She's a manager, it is her responsibility to get to the bottom of it instead of calling someone a liar and demanding my cousin with social anxiety come in to 'id the guy'. Her response was to ask me to leave, which I did.
This facility obviously cares nothing about disabled vets or mental illness of any kind, and I will no longer recommend this establishment to clients I see in the future, or to family. I've never been banned from an establishment before, and I couldn't be happier that I'm...
