I'm not even sure where to start here...we were seated, and looking at the menu and the waitress said their signature dish is on the other side of the menu and pointed out Pho. ( we were looking at noodles and grilled beef slices) We thought a bit and went with her recommendation. We ordered #27 I believe, 12$ for pho with sliced beef and tendons. The waitress said they were out of tendons. We said ok how about meatballs then? So she substituted meatballs for tendons. Then the soup came....and she said there were no bean sprouts, ( shredded cabbage was substituted) and no thai basil!!! The broth was barely thai spiced and pretty clear verses the beef dark coloring expected. My partner ate half, I ate none, and went to the counter, asked for the check, and to go boxes. We boxed it up and saw the bill was 20$ for 2 bowls of soup. I took the bill back, she refunded the over charge...saying it was extra for the meatballs...though it wasnt stated to substitute a missing item there would be an upcharge at the time we ordered. So I took the broth home, dumped out the noodles, and added from my garden: cilantro, spring onions, thai basil; from the pantry rice noodles, sprouts; from and the refrigerator thin slices of prime rib, beef bouillon, pho paste, hoisin, lime, chili paste. So basically, surprise, heres cloudy water for 20$. Take it home and fix it right. Extremely disappointing experience; we live 55 minutes away and dont eat out often. Promise you we wont eat here again. The spring rolls (4.95 / 2) were fresh tasting and beautifully wrapped. The waitress never asked after serving how...

TL/DR: If you are looking for good/great pho, this place will satisfy

We just moved to Lynchburg and my wife needed to find a place for pho. It is her go-to meal. We visited this place on Saturday and she said the pho was excellent. I had the Chicken Fried Rice and I was more than satisfied.

Why My Rating? Group Size: We had 10 people in our group. A mix of college students and adults... ok college students are basically adults but...

Food: All items ordered were prepared as expected. Portions were very generous in all meals. General response from our group was that their meals were excellent. Those with pho said it was incredible

Location: Easy to find off of Timberlake Rd. Between Big Lots and Calvary Church. Near Joe Beans.

Staff: The staff was very courteous, attentive, and even with our large group, they got things right. The staff is definitely a plus at this restaurant

Atmosphere: I never expect much from restaurants in a strip mall but Pho Saigon Palace has done a great job to create an atmosphere that matches who they are.

Cleanliness: The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Prices: I've added the menu in my pics from this spot. They seem consistent with food of the type. A bit expensive but who isn't these days.

Will We Come Back: Yes, 100%

NOTE: If you are doing takeout pho, all of the items come in a styrofoam to go container and the broth in a plastic container. You will likely need to heat the pho in your own bowl whereever you are going. (from experience a couple days later when my wife needed more...

We had a pleasant visit with socially distanced patrons. The server wore a mask too. We had Bubble Teas; Mango and Thai Tea, they were both spectacular. The Mango drink was slushie and the Thai Tea, a brilliant burnt orange hue. I had the combination Banh Mi' sandwich, fantastic! Fresh roll with perfect crispness on exterior and pillowy interior, filled with a smooth, delicious and unctuous Pork Pate, Pork Belly and Pork roll, just the right amounts, plus plenty of fresh crunch from the julienne of carrot, cucumber and bright cilantro. Flavor Tango on the palate! My tween had the Chicken and Vermicelli Noodle Bowl. The chicken was perfectly marinated and seasoned, kissed with grilled smokiness, piled onto vermicelli with a bevy of fresh julienne of vegetables and crisp, crunchy lettuce also. Crushed nuts and sliced green onion adorned the top, with a sweet and sour sauce, served as a side car, that was the perfect compliment to the textures and fusion of the pasta with its counterparts. Served in massive portions! I also had the steamed dumplings, that were nice and al dente, with a savory and subtle pork filling. The dipping sauce was dark, nice and pungent, saltiness and heat well balanced. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the feeling of safety conscious business owners, plus the food. We can't wait to...

I had a TERRIBLE experience here on my birthday. I found a hair in my pho (#32). Because I love Saigon palace so much, I just took the hair out and kept eating. I then saw another piece of hair on the meat, and I went to take it out. The meat/tendon flipped over, and I found MORE HAIR!!!! The worst part is that I know it had to be nose hair, beard hair, eyebrow hair, or eyelashes, none of which are good options. In total, between me and my date, we found 9 hairs. I brought it to the attention of the wait staff and they gave me another pho, but they refused to see what I was talking about. The new bowl of pho had many little black things in it, and frankly, I lost my appetite. I've always loved Saigon Palace, but I will not be coming back ever again. I do NOT trust the kitchen.
