Very good. Place was large and clean. Service was efficient. With the exception of the chef's specials most dishes are reasonably priced in the $10.00-$14.00 range. Started off with the obligatory wonton soup. For $3.00 it was a much larger bowl than expected with plenty of wontons. The broth was light and flavorful and the wontons were nicely cooked. For dinner I had chow fun with shrimp. Again, an ample portion for just $10.00. The noodles were plentiful and had a nice chew to them, not at all mushy as sometimes happens. The shrimp were small but there were a sufficient amount of them. Overall, fresh tasting, not greasy with good flavor. I did add some hot oil for a just a touch of heat which really perked the dish up but just as good without it. Just a few sidenotes, they charge for hot tea here while some others don't. Also, they provide you with a small basket of fried noodles on the house but when we asked for a few more the server said it would be 80 cents. Not a deal breaker and the portion we got for 80 cents twice the size of the free one. Lastly, I see that a prior reviewer states that they serve alcohol here. Perhaps the reviewer is confusing this restaraunt with someplace else, or it's a typo but the fact is they absolutely do not serve...
Read moreWe went to this sushi place on Mother's Day afternoon, around 1:50 pm.
The restaurant was almost empty. There were so many empty tables, so we chose to set at a booth that was next to a window.
But the waitress came and said that we needed 6 people to use the booth. Then the manager came and said the same thing. I replied that we won't take long and you had so many empty tables and booths anyway. We just liked to sit next to the window. But he said it didn't matter. You needed to have 6 people to use the booth. So, we moved, although it was already past lunch hours and there were no other customers. In addition, there were still other booths that could sit six people available. So, I gave this restaurant a 2 stars for their inflexibility in serving customers.
I ordered the spider roll. The soft shell crab was crunchy. The food was good. So. I gave them 5 stars for the food.
One thing you need to be careful of. Many sushi restaurants provide customers with free green tea or free ice water. This place will give you nothing to drink. You will pay $3.99 or $4.99 for your pot of tea if you ask for hot tea. I just ordered a misu soup to go with...
Read moreJust ate at this restaurant last night. The food was out of this world. I began with egg drop soup which was served in a huge bowl ... compared to other restaurants this was like consuming the nectar of the gods with a fancy spoon . I then had the surf and turf which is beef and scallops in a beef sauce.... mixed with Asian vegetables. Words cannot describe how tender the beef was and the scallops were perfect. As far as portions I think it was OK but could definitely be improved by making it with six or eight scallops as there were only four... but the Beef was plentiful.... and all the mixed vegetables where a delight. If you are looking for top-notch Asian cuisine this is the place to go if you don’t mind paying a little bit extra for fine dining. The staff was OK but I think they could step up A notch or two in serving the customer. I definitely have plans to return and the next time try their sweet and sour chicken dinner. Overall it was a...
