Got there I believe it's called full house and a side of corned beef hash(home-made) and a side of apple juice.
2x egg 4x toast 2x French toast(added 1) 2x strip bacon 1x sausage patty Hash brown w/onion+peppers
The meal was one of the more appealing things on a menu that's sort of limited and compressed. A few items did stand out to me but I went with this dish. There was a good amount of flavors in the hash browns easily best part of the meal and that's about where it ended.
Felt the french toast was under cooked as I prefer a more "seasoned" slice. It was just very mush came off soggy. The eggs were good I have had better and much worst and my corned beef hash "homemade" was super salty and oily I didnt eat it and that's one of my breakfast must have's it is something that I like to have a positive reaction to and I didnt have that today. The waitress did her job but it took over 30 minutes to get the food out and i just felt things could have gone much better both my friends said the same.
Just sharing my experience it may be different and more of others customers style to eat here but I dont think I'll be back I didnt even finish my plate or side...
Read moreI have lived in Tiverton since 2004 and Family Ties was my regular "go to" place. On 10/23/16, I went there after church as I regularly do. It wasn't too crazy busy so I was seated quite quickly. I waited and no wait person came to my table. I waited close to 20 minutes and saw other people, who came after me have their orders taken & coffee brought to their tables. I counted 4 tables. I left and informed the hostess why I was leaving & just got a "sorry". I never felt so disrespected and was so disappointed in them. I did comment on their website but still have not heard back from the owner. This experience has me looking for a new "go to" place that will at least acknowledge my existence and my business. I think their name should be changed as they don't treat their customers like family.
I have returned to Family Ties and told them personally about this incident. They made it right. I return quite regularly and have gotten the best treatment. They have new staff and a new menu and I feel very comfortable going there and know I can get something...
Read moreNice variety of food items for breakfast and lunch. Specials of the day were in addition which means a nice rotation of options. My wife and I came for the first time today. Super friendly hostess and the server was busy yet made her way to us shortly after being seated. The place was very comfortable atmosphere wise and it wasn't so cold you needed a sweater like many places. We really appreciated all of the variety of options, sides, and extras. I paid the $3.00 for extra Hollandaise with my Traditional Eggs Benedict. Very nice ham ration with a perfect amount of sauce. Home fries were much nicer vs many places who use a fryolator. The skin was nice and tight which soaked up my sauce only when I split them. God I Love a good Eggs Benedict. My wife had the special Stuffed Apple French Toast. She loved it and said it was creamy but not mushy. Our waitress was great with zero pressure to rush, yet was quick to take up our card. We will for sure be back here again to such a welcoming place. We have missed this kind of friendly since Covid...
