Palhares Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in Tiverton

I just had what they have the audacity to refer to as a “steak,” and it was absolutely disgusting, not even worthy to feed to a dog that you don’t like. It was thin, mealy, tough, gray, very low quality meat. The egg served with the steak was overcooked and rubbery. The beans were a lard-soaked abomination. My disgust with the horrible quality of the food at Palhares was only eclipsed by my self-disgust for having consumed it…I should have taken one bite, spat it out and sent the whole mess back.

People rave about the pizza here. I’ve never eaten it myself, but the gentleman seated next to me at the bar was consuming a large pie. It looked extremely goopy, droopy and soupy…it flopped down like the wet mess that it was every time he picked up a slice to lower it into his eager jowls.

I will say that the people who work at Palhares serving (terrible) food and decent drinks are very friendly and seem to try hard. I don’t have anything negative to say about the staff.

I will say that I was disappointed by the fact that when the server asked me if the food was good and I told him straight up “no, it was not good at all, in fact it was very bad, especially the steak which was horrible,” he did nothing with the bill to “make it right.” He did say he was sorry, several times, but actions speak louder than words.

I’ll go back for an occasional beer, but that’s it!

Oh yeah, there were lots of tiny fruit flies buzzing around me while I ate, which is quite disgusting. One of them landed in my rice and was stuck there, perhaps a victim of food poisoning, or just paralyzed with...

Came in for a DoorDash order and once again they made me wait a long time. The American name’s food was up getting cold but you had to make the Brazilians name’s food when I arrived. There’s a name for that! On top of that, the heavy set female coming out of the kitchen eating and the other lady on the hot flat top cracking eggs and not wearing gloves are health code violations! You lost a customer and dasher for life there!!! You cost me good money each...

⚠️ please read until the updates review⚠️ Too expensive for not very good food. Went in a party of 3, but no one finished their food bc no one liked it (all different orders). Place was empty but still took almost two hours to get the orders.

🔵UPDATED I returned after a friend told me to give them a second chance for their pizza, and it completely surprised me. It's worth coming here for the all you can eat pizza...
