China Sea — Restaurant in Tiverton

CHINA SEA IS NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!!! The quality of the food is now unimaginably disgusting. 2nd time going there since the change in management: The chicken in my order was SLIMMEY, SOFT?!?, CHEWY, FLAT, Off COLORED, and pretty much screamed: not fit human consumption. Absolutely disgusting!!! I don't know if it wasn't cooked right, if it had gone bad, or if it was actually indeed for a fact rat meat. Whatever it was though, was completely inedible. Also pay attention to your order's total, I received two VERY different prices on two different meals priced the exact same on the two occasions I have ordered food since the new management took over, neither time was a receipt available. 1st visit: They gave me white rice instead of fried rice. No big deal. Asked to have it fixed and the man (I'm pretty sure he's either the new manager or possibly even new owner) looking as if he was going to put up a fight, but instead, in a not so pleasant tone says, "Ohhhhh.... You wanted fried rice?" That is what it comes with, it says it right on the menu.

I've given them a few more chances and evey single item taste the same and this is not just my opinion, other people I know who've tried their food have said the same thing.

The old owners had it down packed, food was always good, but the new owners are nice, but the quality of the food and how it is prepped and cooked is just not there anymore, the egg foo young with rice was okay but the coconut shrimp was absolutely gross and so was the egg roll. I have ordered from this place a few times since the new owners took over and I usually order months apart to see if maybe it was just a bad day but I have to say every single time I have been disappointed and I don't think I will be getting food from there anymore. It is sad because I live right near there and it was very convenient. The food is as good as the service. The galley kitchen is wide open from the front desk, the entire place is VERY clean. The chicken is top quality - not what I usually get from Chinese restaurants so I feel okay about giving it to my kids. Ha! The food doesn't give me that over salted headache or sleepy feeling afterwards. Crab Rangoon is excellent and prices are great! I have ordered from them now 3 times, we are a family of 6. Not only does the man at the front desk know my order, he always throws in a little extra, from free egg rolls to desert snacks. I've never paid over $30 for all 6 of us to eat (TWICE!)
