If there were a 0 star rating I would have given it. Unfortunately I didn't even get any food so I can't even speak to that. Tried to get a simple ($9) overpriced cup of chowder via takeout for my sister who was just had dental surgery and there was nothing else she could eat. They advised they had decided to not do any more takeout for the night. I politely explained my situation and that it was a premade item and was told no again. So I asked if I could order food at the bar just planning to ask for the chowder in a take out container when it came out. I was told that they would not be providing me a container in that circumstance after a conversation between the bartender and hostess about was I stupid or what. Again we are talking about a cup of chowder here. DON'T GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. NEVER HAVE I EVER ENCOUNTERED SUCH RUDENESS AND IGNORANCE IN AN EATING ESTABLISHMENT. My 10 year old was horrified. I hope this place goes under like a sinking ship which I'm sure it will if this is the way they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the best meal I've had in months! From appetizers to entrees to dessert, it was virtually flawless. The Spanish Octopus was great: teaming with paprika, olive oil, and a wonderful blend of spices, cooked to perfection, and served over a bed of chickpeas. The ceviche was also a winner, presented beautifully with some nice mangoes and a great variety of seafood. For my main entree, I had the fried scallops and my wife had the cod -- both were fantastic! The rice pudding was served with pineapples and was incredible. The mackerel was the special tonight and that was amazing!
The lovely ladies behind the bar (Savannah and Amy) are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. In fact, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have chosen the mackerel nor the amazing cocktails. Jade was also extremely pleasant and discussed food with us for about 20 minutes. Jared (the manager) is a veritable encyclopedia of food and wine. The Red Dory is now our favorite spot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of our friends recommended this place to us. We made a rezzi through open table and requested to be seated outside. When we got there, it looks like there was a lightening storm coming. Hostess told us that since we requested outside table, we will have to sit outside even if it rains or at the bar or donāt eat there at all. It was off putting and she was all shoulders. The other hostess was unwelcoming at best. Luckily, a nice server got us 4 seats at the bar so we can all sit together. We sit and watched multiple tables remains opened for seating for over 40 minutes. The food was amazing and the bartender was outstanding and very attentive. Be careful about requesting outside table. Just book for an inside table then ask for outside when you get there if the weather is nice. Host will not accommodate for weather changes. It puts a sour taste...
